I got up to 8707 words... but I've hit a bump in the road now. -_- I'm not sure how I should write these characters reuniting. It's not a big or particularly important reunion, it's just 'they were separated, now they're not.' but I'm having difficulty gauging how much detail I should use.

Less than a thousand, but I just started because I am a lazy faggot.
Woo procrastinating.

Hey, that's still 1,000 more words than when you started!
And also more words than me

There is no way I can hit 50k at this point but I still really wanna start.

Don't worry, Xteven, I probably won't be hitting 50k either. But every word counts!

I thought I was going to be heading to bed without writing, but instead, I ended up writing an entire section! Yay +300 (the most I've written in a day so far).
Tried something a little different tonight and attempted flow-writing again. I can actually feel how different it is from what I've been writing, tone-wise, but at the same time, perhaps that's just what I need.
Successfully introduced a new character and connected to a section that had already been written but had no place!
(Tonight's writing also finally puts me over 1,000 words for the month, which is not a lot compared to, say, what Puffin's accomplished so far (congrats!) BUT! It's significant to me when I look at the fact that my story only has about 17k words to begin with.)
Also.

Hahah. To be fair, we still have no idea how long your part of the novel is- it might not be 50,000 words in its entirety.

It very well may not be. Plus there's all that dual-character stuff that we both wrote that isn't adding to my word count. :p

You know what's really annoying?
When it feels like a character is going out of their way to UNDERMINE EVERY PLOT DECISION YOU'VE EVER MADE.

I can think of a few characters who have already taught you that fairly well. But, ughhh.
Edit: Still not at the point where this irritation will come into play (so much new planning...) buuut +103 words tonight, successfully connecting another two sections! :)
And in other news, keeping track of my word count is ridiculously difficult. I've been writing down how much I'm writing each day, but it's hard with how some parts were technically already here even though they weren't added to the main story yet. And then other parts add to my technical word count but since they're not in the main story, I don't want to officially count them...

I got up to 13,568 words yesterday and today I reached 15,670. I could still keep writing, I have the narrative in mind, but my brain feels like it's melting, so I'm going to take a break.

Trillian isn't showing me timestamps for all my back-and-forth with Puffin, but I'm pretty sure I wrote (on and off) for about an hour and a half today. Which is exciting.
I'm also not sure anymore where I started today, but I know I wrote at least 1,200 words in that hour and a half. Which is awesome.
I also know that those 1,200 words more than double my word count for the month. :D I am pleased.

+172 words today, written first thing in the morning! I thought about pretending I hadn't written anything so I'd write more tonight, but shopping ended up taking a lot longer than anticipated and now it's most definitely past bedtime. But yay for morning writing! Hopefully this keeps up. :D

Whelp, it's finally happened. I fell behind on my target word count. Gotta do all that homework and studying I've been putting off now.
Edit: Kamau challenged me to go on a 15 minute long writing spree and that ended up turning into a good, long writing session for me. At 17,889 words now. Still 2115 words behind on my ideal word count, but it's a lot more than I had. (plus, I still studied, so huzzah, decently on track in multiple facets of my life!)

15 minutes have never gone by faster.
My overall word count technically increased, but I basically scrapped everything I wrote in those 15 minutes (along with everything I wrote yesterday) and started on a new angle afterwards. In the end, +199 (after scrapping about 250) so... +27 in the end, I think? XD

Random things that come to light while writing:
My leading lady can't do her own make up to save her life. I'd never even considered it before, but it found its way into this passage anyway. Where as, her brother hates cooking because he's impatient. He can cook, he just doesn't like to.
...Also, I just realized I spent half a page describing what Kaye is wearing in this scene, while I summed up Hayama's appearance in about a paragraph. A short paragraph.
(but I hit 19008 words, so w/e)
