Today I am in King's Landing (Dubrovnik, Croatia). Hear Me Roar! Winter is Coming! etc. etc.

Are there really decapitated heads lining the walls?

are there any destitute street vendors selling krabvalasch and crab juice? whats the local quick out for lunch but not necessarily fastfood like? what's the broken english like?

Sadly not. Just lots of cats.

I'm not sure exactly what krabvalasch is. Is it like Kabbalah? I haven't actually seen any street vendors at all. Quick food here is pizza, either slices of or a full pizza. People here eat a lot. English is fairly standard for Eastern Europe, good pronunciation but small vocabulary.

I've kept an eye out for it, but don't think I've come across it. I'm starting to get the feeling not much of King's Landing is actually filmed in Dubrovnik, just certain bits.

 

In general Dubrovnik isn't great. I wouldn't recommend going. Everything is overpriced for an Eastern European destination, the old town feels tacky like Disneyland because it's overly touristy and they've done the tourism really badly. Not much to see outside of the old town, which is actually very small. Might be worth stopping off in for a day, but not much more.

is there any noticeably absent wildlife? when i went to australia it was weird not to see squirrels. how far out do you have to go before it's countrified? have you seen any shepherds or small farms?

Dubrovnik is next to a fairly sizeable range of hills / mountains. They're pretty rural I guess. Wildlife? I'm not sure really. Europe has mostly the same animals all over. And I live in an urban centre so I don't actually see much wildlife where I live. Surprisingly few seagulls in Dubrovnik though considering it's coastal. A lot of other types of birdie though.

are cigarettes money there, or anywhere else you've been?

Never actually encountered this. I've never visited prison unfortunately. I think it used to happen in West Africa in the 1940s. I'm yet to go to West Africa too sadly.
