Haven't played Magical Melody, but the added fantasy adventurey stuff in Rune Factory was pretty swell.

PS4s are indeed sold without bundles; we just decided it was most efficient to nab the bundle since we'd be paying $60 for the game anyway.
PS4 successfully pre-ordered, and we'll be nabbing it on the 23rd, be it at the midnight release or at a later point that day. :)
I want Tomb Raider...and Dragon Age... and Tara wants Last of Us... and she'll have Batman... soooo many games! I haven't been this excited to buy games in a while.
I know I say this multiple times in another thread, but, if you're going to be buying a lot of games, get this. It is absolutely worth it.
For example, right now you could preorder Batman for $48 with it and get $10 in rewards back. Effectively making it $38 on release day.
It's super useful for things that cost a lot of money too. Like Collector's Editions or things like Rock Band (where the price of the membership + the game is effectively less money than just buying the game). And when things go on clearance it's even better~ and Best Buy has a lot of sales.

I was thinking about that, actually. :) I would have looked into it while getting the console, but Gamestop was the only place that had the pre-order content that Tara wanted. I'll show her that page when she gets home!

Usually there is some kind of thread about the Steam Sale but that doesn't exist this year.
So here is what I got (so far I guess, I could buy more):
- Rogue Legacy
- Sir, You Are Being Hunted
- Starbound
- Shantae: Risky's Revenge
- Cities: Skylines
- Gods Will Be Watching
- Tropico 5
- Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (I don't know why I keep buying these games, I don't particularly like them, I just feel like if I buy them enough maybe I'll like it)
- Game of Thrones Complete Series
- Life is Strange Complete Series
- One Way Heroics (because I saw Xteven buy it and it was 87 cents)

- Child of Light
- Valiant Hearts
- Apotheon
- Metal Slug X
- Metal Slug 3
- Astebreed
- Freedom Planet
- Strider
- Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky
- Shantae: Risky's Revenge
I may still buy one or two more, but that's what I've got so far. Only one I've played at this point is Freedom Planet, which is pretty great.

You don't need anything else. You already have that.

I didn't buy much. Didn't really want that much... But, here's what I got:
- RPG Maker 2003. Something like... I guess I figured I owed them something? well, I bought it on sale for $2.99, so it was almost like stealing, anyway.
- Wolfenstein: The New Order. A Friend left his PS4 here a while back, and I played quite a bit of this, but didn't complete it. I figured it was worth the sale price to see it through to the end.
- Endless Legend. I played it on the free weekend, and was immediately interested. I keep reading good things about it. And Amplitude make some absolutely gorgeous games.
I wanted Ori and the Blind Forest, but it didn't reach a sale price that I wanted to pay on my budget.

I got it a bit before the sale, but otherwise, same on all counts.

So Spaz and I are apparently getting a used PS4 for a decent price. Not yet sure how I feel about that.
We can be PSN friends! :D

What?!
That is terribly sad.
I wonder if that's why they did the puppets this year. Iwata hasn't really shown his face recently.
Darn, I'm pretty sad over this.

I think what really hurts about Iwata, is he seem so personable. He didn't seem like a suit, a CEO. He also started off as a programmer not even as a part of Nintendo, and everything he seemed to do felt like it was for the love of games and Nintendo (like the directs and the Ask Iwata stuff). Even if it didn't always make sense or seemed stereotypical Japanese ignorance. He seemed like a honestly good person, and a great asset to keeping Nintendo Nintendo.
Sad sad days.
