I've got a few stacks of cobblestone laying around thanks to my expansion project, so I'm gonna start paving more of the road toward Glace's place.

Least I can do for screwing up one of his watermelon plants after falling on it (and yes, it's been replanted).

 

EDIT: Road paved. Still needs to be lit, but it's done. All that's left is for Glace to run a path from the top of the stairs to the front door, since I didn't want to carve anything up trying to make one. Not my property, after all.

 

Also, thinking once I finish my expansion, my next project's gonna be building a marina / fishing area in the lake north of my property. Some docks to launch boats and fish from, as well as a main building filled with stoves and workbenches for cooking / making new fishing rods.

 

(also I found out the Adventure Craft mod apparently updated itself and now I can see the cats and they're the Cat of Approximate Knowledge and I love it)

I broke the server somehow.

 

I was looking to update to the next version of our server software (not the new 1.7.2) and I switched the server off. Then I went to check what version of the server software we're running but I couldn't find it anywhere in the files, which was really weird. And then I tried restarting the server and it's complaining it can't find the server software either.

 

I'm installing the new version now. Hopefully that will fix it.

Hmm, I've managed to update the server software and it's running again. But it was behaving kinda weird. Let me know if it gives you guys any trouble and I'll take another look at it.

 

You guys DON'T need to update or anything yet. That will happen later. Sadly no estimate as to when yet.

I think mostly the road just needs things along it. I might build some more rest stops.

 

I really wish Frost would come back so I could talk to him about how to build pretty stables. He's awesome at that.

Server is down, and I can't figure out why. Can't restart it at the moment either.

 

I think maybe our hosts are doing some maintenance.

Sadly, no. You can check the latest news here. At this stage the only official word is that it will be available "when it's done".

At this point should we just go to monkeycraft 5.0 and take advantage of the new update fully? Does anyone have anything on 4.0 they would be sad to see go? I'd be fine if I never saw my modern brick home ever again.

Yeah, I've been thinking the same but didn't think it'd really be a popular decision. I'm happy to start a new world, I have some gripes about the current one. But I know people like Saint have done a lot of great work on this world, so if anybody wants to veto this just say that you want to stay and we will. If nobody feels strongly enough to think it's worth saving it then we'll start a new one.

"Floating" in the sense that it's built right on the water's surface, and doesn't go down to the lake bed. Lets the squid swim around freely :>

Just head east from spawn. The big road should take you right to it. It's built on a small lake, a minute or two of travel time before you get to Streets' compound.

I am indifferent about resetting the server because I have nothing on it yet. Bunch of sketches I've done during my lunch break, but nothing built. But since I haven't been on to build anything I don't know if my vote should even count.
