it's the ONLY .psd i didn't keep... i'm just going to make a few character sets to put over as parallel process events on "stop animation" so they twinkle in place and lock their facing so they won't move around.

the maps are done, and the bosses are assigned to them. i should have the complete rough draft done this weekend. i'm feeling great momentum with this project, and can't wait to take it back to Arbor's Eve

1 map left that i didnt plan on to go. half done with enemy charset poses. aiming for mondayrough draft completion, i'll upload it here first when it's ready.

just finished my character select screen WITHOUT using a script. I evented the whole thing with switches and conditional events.

i'm working at the park, and i must look like a sex offender or something, because a cop actually got out of his car to tell me how strange it is that i'm sitting here. i showed him the project, and actually figured out the event sequence through explaining to him how events work.

4-8 hours of work left. all the monsters have skills. the last thing is the test, and i'll have it up late tomorrow night.

 

 

aaaaaaaaaand my new game plus script doesn't work right. does anybody know anything about scripting?

im ditching new game plus,for now. since i can't make it work, i'm going to have to set the characters all at a certain level, give them all their skills, and enable saving. when you get to the end, it will send you back in an automated loop until you do it right, instead of new game plussing it. i think the point will be to free all the characters, and beating the game with them will lock them. instead of dying for game over, you'll go to the fail room, and back to the beginning.

Ah, I think I misread your post. I must be tired because I can't quite wrap my head around what you're talking about without seeing it in action.

it took about 5 hours working straight through, not stopping for anything to get it done. i think i had maybe 4 hours left until the contest closed by the time i got it in.

Is this made in RM? And if so what version? Because I don't seem to have the right RTP.

I'm debating whether I should play it now or wait for when you have it "finish-finished".

 

Because I'm interested, but if you'll have it done in like a month or so, I'd be more than willing to wait and see your full vision, not your not "finish-finished" version.

the unfinished one has a problem that i can't seem to figure out. after the second boss, you can't advance. in my raw version it's switched right though. i'll link the unencrypted version. just demo play it.

it's made in xp. i have a legit version though, so you need the default dll's
