What are you talking about? Turtwig was great, and evolves into one of the better grass types in Gen IV. Snivy wasn't great, but there was nothing bad about it. It's too early to say about Chespin but even from a design standpoint it doesn't look disappointing.

Lazlo: While Snivy had good HP and was a good defensive Pokemon I always found myself using Oshuwatt over any of those Gen Six starters. I agree with the design standpoint thing you were saying, however I hope it looks awesome in it's second/third evolution.

Even if some of the Grass starters seemed bad, it's only because the best type is Water.

I agree with Stars. Water types always seemed to be a lot more balanced.

The only water starter I've used yet has been Mudkip.

Bulbasaur

Cyndaquil

Mudkip

Turtwig

Snivy

Not sure who I'd pick for Gen 6 yet though.

So.... new mew two form may apparently be a real thing now. I just started seeing a bunch of fanart on dA, which only seems to happen when this stuff is real (at least with this gen thus far) and after a bit of searching found this, which has a video demonstrating the pokemon's moves.

http://www.hypable.c...n-vi-announced/

I...don't really like the design, but I also never really liked Mew Two's design, so I'll admit I'm probably just biased here. I guess it's okay-ish, though. I'm not entirely fond of the idea that they made his tail an extension of his head, but since it may be an entirely different clone, rather than an evolution of Mew Two (or may not be linked to mew two in anyway at all), that's ok, I guess. Though it does kinda look like he's deformed to me, regardless of his connection to the aforementioned species (it also just reminds me of Buu and I always hated that weird... dangly thing on his head). But I guess that means if it is actually just a complicated fake, I'll be grateful.

Edit: Jeebus christ, dA is literally being overrun by fanart for this fucker. At first it was like 3 pieces of art I'd noticed, but now there's, like, five on every page with likely more being submitted.  ._.

Reminds me more of the Ocarina of Time Zora head tails than Buu's dangly thing. But yeah, I can't say I care for it either. Mewtwo is weird, but I've always liked his design. This guy...I dunno.

As for the starters, based on design alone, I think I actually prefer the Grass starter. xp

Yeah, it's been announced by the Pokemon facebook thing... Seen in game. It looks super lame. I hate it's stupid head-tail, and I hate that it's basically Mewtwo with red eyes and the tail moved. Talk about unoriginal.

It looks like Mewtwo is wearing a hat.

I'm not a huge fan of the design, but I'm pretending that Mewtwo decided to get into the cloning business again and cloned himself, but because Mewtwo is super egotistical he wouldn't want it to look exactly like him, and since Mewtwo is "the ultimate being" he deforms the clone just enough that the Two will always be better than Three.

I like your theory. XD

Though there seems to be more guesses that it is an individual clone, and not an evolution of Mew Two, which I think would make more sense.

I never liked Mewtwo, most likely because of ridiculous fanfiction surrounding it, but I like the old one better.

Well I don't know. I only feel like it's unoriginal if it ends up not being some kind of evolution/alternate form of Mewtwo. Non of the Pokemon that are of the same evolution/form really look original...if that makes any sense.

If they felt compelled to make an alternate Mewtwo form, they should have given him that cybernetic armor from the anime.

New Pokemon

The new male trainer looks like a younger James. That's kind of cool

Certainly looks a lot better than the B2W2 male trainer.

I'm a little surprised that we haven't already had a panda pokemon, especially in Black & White.
That 'lizard' looks kind of...odd. And not exceedingly lizard-like.

I've always found it difficult to get into CoroCoro scans of new pokemon, but I've always enjoyed seeing the new trainers. And this time, I actually think the trainers look alright!

On the plus side, from my experience, everything looks only better after the games are released. So that should be a good thing.
