+++ Managed to trade shifts to get yesterday evening off to make way for a Skyped game of Scion.
-- The person I traded with forgot to show up, and apparently my department manager hadn't put the trade into the schedule, so the store called me asking why I hadn't shown up yet.
+ They didn't make me come in.
-- The guy I *thought* I traded with showed up first this morning for the shift I *thought* he had given me, and the manager said they couldn't pay both of us to be there.
- Woke up early for nothing.
+ There's a book fair today, so the store manager said I could still come in later to help with that.
-/+ I lost several hours compared to the shift I was planning to work today, but compared to the shift I gave away, I'm only out an hour and a half ultimately.

Business contacted me about updating their website. I accessed their Google Analytics and told them that in the past most of their revenue was generated from pay per click ads on Google but this had been getting less and less successful in the past few months. I asked them when they last sent out a message to their mailing list and they told me they'd never done it before. So I suggested they put on a half-price sale for the week and send out an email informing all of their customers. £2000 was generated in three hours after I sent the mail, so far only 12% of the messages have been opened. Of the 12% that have opened them about a third of them are clicking through to the website and about a third of those people are placing an order. Because it's a sale people are placing larger orders than they would ordinarily.
