I've been on a gaming nostalgia trip the last couple days. Were old games always so difficult? Right now, finishing up Super Mario Brothers 3, Mario Lost Levels, Mother 1, and Metroid (the first). Lost Levels kicked my butt for hours..and Mortal Kombat I, second to last boss, destroyed me in like 8 seconds ;__; gave up due to frustration

I've also just started FF6 and Mother 3 (finally!).

been playing Call of Duty 2 and Dark Prophecy.

Dark Prophecy is an MMOG space sim with shooter element, kinda like Eve Online...cept free to play.

Just gave Fallout 3 a shot with the 360 controller. Nope. Just nope.

All was well until combat, and then the whole VATS thing made perfect sense: how else are you supposed to be able to hit anything? Yikes.

i tried playing sonic adventure for awhile, and i got really dizzy because of how the camera auto-adjusts when you don't want it to. :?:

I dunno. I didn't have a problem with Fallout 3 on the 360, and I can snipe people just fine in Call of Duty. This might be because a controller is generally all I have. I might be spoiled by mouse and keys if I were more of a PC gamer.

Well I personally think Catherine is pretty awesome~ tho it has a sort of short feeling to it unless you wanna aim to get the different endings. I gotta say tho I love the soundtrack.

Geometry Wars 2 Evolved, God that game is addictive. Also just biding time til I can play Deus Ex Human Revolution and Rugby Challenge next week!

finished GTA4 for the first time. twas needlessly dramatic. this means ive now finished all my console games. i need suggestions, whats good on ps3 nowadays? inb4 ps3 has no games.

My neighbor lent me L.A. Noire, but I haven't played it yet. Haven't played anything for quite a while now, really.

As for PS3 suggestions, that new Deus Ex game came out this week. I don't own it yet, but I'd like to think it'll be super. El Shaddai also just came out and looks interesting. If you haven't tried it yet, Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands is pretty fun.

EDIT: Apparently IGN gave El Shaddai a 5/10, and Game Informer gave it a 9/10. Make of that what you will.
