Portal 2.

is it any good?
like comparable, better or worse than the first?
because I personally found the first to be (way) too easy.

It's AMAZING! There are new elements to the puzzles and I love it. It's definitely better than the first. The first was awesome too, don't get me wrong. They really out-did themselves.

Portal 2.
It's 3:50 a.m. I woke up early just for this.

what the hell time do you normally get up? it's 10 am here, and i'm still on my first pot of coffee

He gets up closer to 8 or 9 depending on when he works. Both of us stayed up until 1am last night to finish it. Tony finished before me around 11.
We both feel like crap today.

I don't think it was really meant to be all that hard. At least the campaign. Some of the challenge maps on Still Alive are ridiculous though.
I like it better.

Agree that the first one was rather easy. I was seriously surprised by how fast I got through it.
Portal 2 had me stumped a few times.

So if you haven't guessed yet I've been playing Portal 2. Finished it yesterday, and plan on re-playing it FOREVER!

A fun game called Eat Them. It's like king of the monsters meets cyborg justice. you win a cookie if you remember either of those games.

Dead Rising 2. Pretty full of sandboxy-zombie fun. Incredibly disappointed that there's no local co-op, though. I hate this generation of video games. ;_;

Siren: Blood Curse. it's like a combination of the the two ps2 Siren games, but they re-arranged the chronology so it makes sense, and the characters aren't all japanese people with british accents. however, they are still using live action capture onto the character models. it's a really neat way to do faces and movements. the only problem i have with it is that 'survival horror' seems to mean 'barely visible character wandering around in a pitch black room' are dead space/left 4 dead like that at all?

It's AMAZING! There are new elements to the puzzles and I love it. It's definitely better than the first.

Really? I thought it was alright. I don't think the new mechanics added much to the game and I thought the puzzle design was fairly sloppy and uninteresting compared to the first. I also thought the overall narrative was poorly paced and ultimately unrewarding.

Spoiler

I was really upset by the cutscenes. Stephen Merchant really annoyed me, I thought his humour didn't really work with the atmosphere and that his voice-acting didn't suit the environment or the character. It was alright when I could just ignore him and focus on the puzzles but I didn't appreciate it when they interrupted puzzles to make me listen to him. Glados is still awesome.

It used to feel special when you managed to sneak out of a test chamber into a creepy backroom, but in Portal 2 they really overused it and by making such a spectacle out of the environment shattered a lot of the mystique and character of the original by turning it into a bad episode of Lost.

Still it's better than beating your head against your keyboard for amusement.

I might be crazy, but I find that one of the reasons that I enjoy the environments comes from thinking of Aperture Science as a character of its own.

I tend to not look too deep into Portal 2. Mainly because I found the first one so awesome I just took this one at face value. Once I play through again I'll most likely start getting picky.

The thought of games as art never crossed my mind. Not that I wouldn't consider it, it just never occurred to me.

you would probably like his main site. hopefully people won't argue about whether or not games are art as much anymore. Roger Ebert has no idea what he's talking about. i bet if you have him a gameboy with tetris, he wouldn't know what to make of it.
