Okay today I was dicking around in Netflix and I found Spaced, an old sitcom featuring the Falconi Familyâ„¢ favorite comedy duo, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. It's... Well I wouldn't say it's good, but I will say it's funny, in that dry British sort of way. Plus, for you fans of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, there are a lot of familiar faces!

I'm apparently on some kind of movie kick right now.

We just got back from M:I4 (on IMAX~). My dad thought it was hard to keep track of what they were doing when it got too actiony, but I didn't find it hard to follow. Mostly I was glad to see something better than The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Tales from Earthsea (both of which I also recently watched at home).

That's funny. I was going to go see MI:4 with a friend, but because it was Imax only, we decided not to. :p

Do you not have an IMAX theater nearby, or do you just not care for it? (I will admit that the sound was a bit too loud, especially during the trailers for some reason.)

Sadly, the only movie I've seen in imax is the last superman movie, with it's *shudder* "3D." Talk about regret... Let's just say that for $12+ per ticket, I have high expectations. Not being Mission Impossible fans, we couldn't justify the price.

There are a lot of movies I would love to see in proper imax. Whenever it is released, this will be one.

The last movie I saw in IMAX was Suckerpunch.

I could take it or leave it.

The last movie I saw in Imax was Harry Potter 7.2 (if only because it was the only theatre in town). I enjoyed it very much.

Just finished Invictus. I liked that it doesn't start acting like a sports movie until at least halfway through.

Went to see Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows this afternoon. I had been lead to believe that it was somewhere between terrible and meh, which is ridiculous. It was great fun. Sure, it wasn't structured near as tight as the first movie, but c'mon, Jared Harris is awesome. Also that Robert Downey Jr. fellow was pretty good (<3).

I watched Hoodwinked! and Hoodwinked Too! today. I watched the first one while decorating the tree, and the second one because it had to back to the library today. XD They were both quite awesome.

Watched the new Spy Kids movie today. I was saddened by it.

Then watched Brand New Day. According to the box (and my mom) I'm supposed to love it if I like Mamamia (which I do).

They were wrong. It's the stupidest movie I've ever seen. Or at least ranking high up there.

Then watched Kung Fu Panda 2.

I'm finally getting around to season 2 of Lost. I think I saw season 1 last spring or summer, but I recalled most of the important stuff as I watched the first episode.

1 Barbie movie rewatched, 3 to go. =) At least of the ones I took out from the library.

Loving the voice actors. Love discovering they also voiced some of my favorite childhood characters even more.

From the last couple pages of this thread, it's apparent you like children's movies, but is that all you watch, or what? I hope you don't take that offensively, because I love kid's movies and thoroughly enjoy watching Curious George with my daughter, but I actually had to check your profile because I was starting to wonder if you were a preteen or something, haha.

Also BARBIE MOVIES? That's a stretch for even the guiltiest of kid's movie lovers to enjoy watching. I used to love this Christmas Barney movie but when I got to be 11 I was like "This thing is too much, that's enough".

Nope, definitely way past preteen years. And no, children's movies aren't the only things I watch, but I do enjoy them quite a bit.

As for the other comment, I don't have any issue admitting that I enjoy watching Barbie movies. They have well-developed characters, good storylines, enjoyable music, and good moral values. :) They don't deserve bad reps just because "Barbie" is in the title.

I guess I can see that. Some kid movies, although childish (sometimes sickeningly), do have a lot of love in the story/music, etc. There was something I watched recently that was childish and seemed dumb but actually wasn't, but I can't remember what that is now. Derp. Certainly not Barbie though, I've never seen one of the movies.

Lazlo and I are trying our damndest to keep Naomi from liking all the Tinkerbell/Dora/Barbie crap because it's all just annoying and the toys are expensive. We try to keep her toys/movies fun, yet generic and unirritating, haha. Her grandparents have been kind enough to not gift her a bunch of those things, as well.
