Thinking of watching Fairy Tail, even though I don't like the changes they made in the way some magic is "cast"

I think I lasted through the Phantom Lord story before I gave up.

Also I haven't watched any anime in quite some time now. o.o
Oh, except some random Haruhi episodes every now and then, I guess.

I enjoy Gundam SEED (not SEED Destiny), but a lot of other people seem to dislike it. Gundam 00 is pretty fancy.
Gundam X is okay, but there's no English dub. I despised Turn-A Gundam. G Gundam is just silly.
I haven't actually watched any of the older Gundams, which kinda makes me sad.

/>watching Gundam Wiiiiiiiiing! any other good gundam series?

tl;dr 08th MS Team.
G Gundam is fantastic if you want a decent hot-blooded "Fuck yeah!" kind of anime. Not as good without the nostalgia goggles, and incredibly cheesy and over-the-top, but that's what makes it so loveable.
If you enjoyed Wing, then there's a good chance you'll enjoy 00. 00 is to Wing as SEED is to Mobile Suit Gundam (original). Don't watch the 00 movie though, it will ruin things for you. S2 is also kinda iffy.
08th MS Team, Turn A Gundam and Zeta are all highly praised Gundam series. 08th MS Team is my personal favorite Gundam series. It takes more of a realistic approach to such an unrealistic premise (gundams).
SEED is..well, it's hit-or-miss. I disliked it very much, but that's not to say it was bad.
Zeta and Victory are pretty dark and grim, but are good watches. Zeta has more action, Victory has more plot.
And there's 0083 and 0080. Decent balance of action and drama and stuff.
You could also pick a universe and watch each series within that respective universe to see the different sides. That's what makes the UC Universe in Gundam so interesting as a whole. If I remember correctly, the UC encompasses 08th MS Team, Mobile Suit Gundam, 0080, 0083, Zeta, ZZ, Unicorn, and Victory. They all depict the war and its consequences from 0079 to 0096ish (iirc).

Or you could skip the mech and watch Legend of the Galactic Heroes (silly name, I know) if you're interested in military strategy and political intrigue. It's often hailed as one of the best anime series ever for a reason. And it's in space!

ive been on a toonami nostalgia bender lately, i had g-gundam for awhile but a laptop crash took it with. ill give 08th ms team a go when im done with wing. mostly i watch it because its basically giant robot destruction porn.

If that's the case, then 08th MS Team may not be up your alley. It's less destruction porn and more realism.

I might recommend 00 or Zeta. Oh, and watch Endless Waltz now that you've finished Wing.

Maybe I'll start Gundam 00 from the beginning. I never watched the second season, and I only kinda remember the first season.

MSG, SEED, Wing and 00 are the only ones I really ever watched so I can't comment on any of the others.

but if you like mech destruction stuff mixed with some fancy pancy strategy, might I suggest Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and the second season called R2 (i believe)

I remember once seeing a very bloody and brutal mech anime episode (randomly) where the enemy mechs looked half insect-like, I really liked it but I don't know the name.....sadly T_T

Betterman?

On another note, I'm starting my annual rewatching of Kanon tomorrow in preparation for Christmas. About 2-3 episodes a day.

Im Not sure, ill sneak in a quick view at betterman while at work, and check everything starting with Blue.

ill keep you updated

edit: it's none of the suggested, besides, the drawing style and atmosphere were more dark/grim plus the first episode (only one i saw) was in space, on one of those giant colony things.

Though I'm going to fall behind again tomorrow, unfortunately.
