That's... Actually very nice. Typically I don't much care for rainmeter (Or other suchs widgets) but yours are actually visually striking, whilst subdued, and easy to ignore. The starship themed descriptions are also a nice change from the normal pace. I say, you should submit this to the LifeHacker Homescreen Showcase.

Are we talking desktop icons here? I didn't know they were orientated right to left on mac. I have to admit I've never really used one for any prolonged period. I like the dock though.

Haven't been able to figure out how to change the alignment. But I shouldn't really need to have any desktop icon's anyway, it's cleaner without them.
