Since Kamau linked to Crunchyroll, if anyone wants a Crunchyroll premium trial, I have multiple 48 hour passes. PM me or whatever. I have 4.

So I guess I'm going to another anime convention thingy this year.
I don't particularly watch a lot of anime though. I started paying for the Funimation streaming just to maybe watch some new stuff, but ended up just finishing Fruits Basket and watched some .hack//SIGN and Negima!
Is there some super fancy hype awesome anime I should watch?

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I've been meaning to get back to this one after seeing the first few episodes. Mostly I just know that the people who love it, really love it.
Ghost in the Shell: Arise. A new OVA, in four long episodes which are currently being recut into a longer series of shorter episodes. Haven't watched it yet, but GitS is usually pretty amazing.

I've never really watched any Ghost in the Shell. I probably should.
I watched Tenchi Muyo OVA 1 yesterday while doing a puzzle. I was interested in watching it because I watched a bit of Tenchi Universe on Hulu (but they don't have it all dubbed) and since I have the Funimation Streaming service now I have access to all of the dubbed Tenchi. Universe is pretty eh, I realize. It's really random and basically just a harem anime for a lot of its life (not as bad as Tenchi in Tokyo though, ugh). Tenchi Muyo though, I think has some interesting stuff going on besides the fan service. It just feels so rushed because of the limited episodes. I'll probably watch OVA 2 (because I remember there being interesting stuff there) and OVA 3 (because I've never seen it).
I do kind of miss being younger and willing just (and able) to watch whatever.

I caught up on Durarara!! x2. I loved the first series, and the second series is incredible.
I already know the story thanks to Light Novels, but it was nice seeing it animated.
July can't come soon enough! (When part 2 of this series begins)
Dropping down a well that time forgot
With scars that show that we care a lot
In the sky we dreamt like a juggernaut
Of the things we'd do and what we saught

I've never really watched any Ghost in the Shell. I probably should.
If you decide to fix this, I'd recommend watching the original movie subbed. The dub is okay, but the Major sounds a bit deadpan, especially after I got used to her newer voice in the series.
The second movie, Innocence, I can take or leave. Mostly it's just weird and introspective.
The Stand Alone Complex series has a generally good dub (if you can get used to the Tachikomas) and is my favorite part of the franchise.
The Laughing Man and The Individual Eleven movies are just condensed retellings of the two seasons of the series.
Solid State Society is a movie sequel to the series and is pretty alright. At this point it definitely feels like the Stand Along Complex material is an AU.

Watched the first episode of an anime called Gate (I think there are two episodes out so far). It has an interesting premise. A portal opens up in modern Japan, spewing out a fantasy army, with cavalry and dragon riders and such. They kill some people for a bit, then the JGSDF comes in and slaughters them with modern weaponry. Now they JGSDF is going through the portal into the fantasy world to figure out what the heck.

We watched Eden of the East this weekend. I enjoyed it a lot, but I think the premise and the beginning is a lot better than what the show ends up being. It's not bad, but not what I was expecting. Japan sure does love their death games.
I've also watched Baccano! recently. I loved it, wish there was more anime of it. It's one of those animes I feel like has a very broad appeal (like Monster or Cowboy Bebop) and would be super easy to recommend. I'd argue it's a little hard to follow at first though. I'll probably watch Durarara!! because of it.

Looks like One Punch Man is getting published physically soon (it's been electronic only before this). Still haven't read any of it, but now I'm thinking about it again.
Also Gate is still pretty good so far, 5 episodes in.

I went onto Netflix to go find Sense 8 but then somehow spent the next two days binge-ing season 1 Fate/Stay Night. So...that happened. And it was pretty good. I want to watch season 2 but think it's annoying that I have to go find it on the internet or otherwise attempt to buy the season, rather than getting season 2 on Netflix.

Been watching Princess Tutu! :D I'm up to episode 14/26 or so. I started (re)watching it while getting drunk with a friend who's never seen it before. I kept swearing that it was going to get serious and epic but we made it through five episodes of goofiness before she decided she'd had enough. Which was too bad because it kicked into (semi serious) and epic starting episode 6. XD

That show had the best opening and ending songs. http://inuyasha.wikia.com/wiki/Music
Not an Inuyasha song, but this was also done by Do As Infinity and totally worth sharing.
