no, but when i tried writing to fight sleep, that's what spilled out into a chapter. the bad guy was trying clone his home planet, and had to use the main character's body because he's a big fat walrus.

Purple fat nazi walruses man.

Anyways, I should be more consistent about things. Like lifting. And going on my various forum sites because you're one of the few "meaningful" social contacts I have left  I love you all.

when you end up taking over a waffle factory on an oil platform, and then explode it with your military grade hot tub, you tend to attract a lot of attention.

I've been feeling a lot of nostalgia lately for actually using my computer as a computer, rather than a snazzed up game console with a browser. Admittedly, that's pretty much all that I used it for previously, but something about having it in my own personal space (at a desk) has an entirely different feeling than having it in the living room hooked up to the TV. Having a newborn around pretty much meant that no matter where I have my PC, I only really get to use it during the brief moments when the baby is sleeping and I am not at work... but still.

Meh. I dunno. Just sharing thoughts. Stupid thoughts. Go away.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Heh... Well, I do have a 3DS.  You would think it would be perfect, eh? Sleep mode makes it easy to put down when a child needs attention, and there are some pretty good games. It just hasn't grabbed my attention, really. Unless you mean phone/tablet gaming, in which case, no thanks. There are only a few mobile games that I've actually been able to tolerate, much less play for any substantial amount of time. The market for them is just fills me with too much sadness.

You should try off screen gaming with the Wii U. It is a beautiful thing.

Ha! I no doubt will when our library grows. Currently we have New Super Mario (and luigi), Skylanders and Super Mario World.

As soon as one exists that will play SNES games without issue, I'll be all over that shit.

Get Pikmin 3. It's awesome/worthwhile. Such a unique RTS.

Sleep mode isn't that great. Whatever I'm playing, that's what Naomi wants to play, which is great, except we only have one 3DS. (I know, what plebs!) And if it's not that, the battery is dead, because she never turns it off or plugs it in. Except when I'm on the island with like 30 whale sharks in ANCL. Then she homes in on it and is all proud because she turned it off for me!

For that reason, I completely agree. Rose is the same way. If the lights are on, it must be fair game. (Plus, the battery life on the 3DS is nowhere near as good as the DS, which is a shame). I meant more for being able to quickly pause the game without having to worry about missing anything, since you can sleep mode anywhere in a game. If a child starts crying, for example, I can just shut the DS and tend to whatever needs tending to.

But aren't avatars already costumes for our soul?

Changed anyways, unless I find something better.

From what I've read the PSP is pretty good but SNES is the limit, and it can't play all SNES games flawlessly.

I hope someone, at some time, hacks the Vita, since that should be a good emulation machine.

I've definitely considered it. If I could find one in good condition for cheap, I might go for it.
