No idea. If I'm allowed to, I'm using it on a Steam Wallet Code, or Amazon Gift Card or something.

Walmart fucking sucks.

We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats. They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far and no further!

There's a video game one but I don't think there's a general one. There is a board game thread.

I didn't look at it much but it looks interesting. It reminds me of some of the aspects of the Game of Thrones board game.

Anyways~

A modular computer.

^That seems really cool. Especially of people who know less about computers. I probably wouldn't get one since I normally just build my own but it does look intriguing for the lack of hassle it would require to upgrade.

Actually, I found this on Joystiq which makes it seem even more interesting:

"Project Christine isn't just physically modular, it also divides the motherboard into components which are spread across the system's various modules. Instead of having to match your new components to the specifications of your old motherboard, each new module includes all of the technology it needs to function, save the power it will draw from the rest of the system."

That is really cool.

They should make a modular Steam Box, that would change everything.

Back from Walmart.

I completely forgot how shitty their store was. Like unbelievably so.

I mean, I knew they were bad, which is why I never set foot in one unless I have to, but I trudged through the entire store, looking for something worth 30 bucks I could buy.

After an hour of searching, I found nothing, literally nothing, absolute zero things in the store I'd be comfortable paying 30 dollars for. Everything in that store is ridiculously overpriced, even when "rolled back". So I thought I'd check their gift cards.

Being after the holidays, I didn't expect much. So it didn't surprise me to see it WAS ALL FACEBOOK/FARMVILLE STUFF.

tl;dr - I didn't buy anything, and still have a 30 dollar walmart gift card I can't really use because everything in the store is awful.

Screw you Walmart.

Sudden change of topic. I just played the hypest game of Backgammon, and I feel a need to gloat.

tl;dr - I am a Backgammon beast.

The exact same thing as before just happened again in reverse! D:<

Screw you Walmart.

I tend to only buy food/random shit while at Walmart.

There's actually a Walmart near me that is just beautiful and clean and huge and lacks the stereotypical clientele. It's beautiful. Although I absolutely hate Walmart, Target is much better at everything except having claw machines.

In California it's law that anything $10 or less they will give you cash. Maybe you should see about that.

Even then, I have to want something at the store to get cash back (I live in NH).

I don't want anything there because it's all crap lol.

I've explored options, on the internet, and am thinking I'll just save my card for a day when I have a job. Then I can use the earnings along with the card to get an actual TV.

Well I'm saying maybe NH has some other laws that you can get cash back.

Optionally try ebay. You can actually sell gift cards on ebay for a profit sometimes. I sold iTunes gift cards I didn't want/need there and made some good cash. (although there are fees, but on $30 it'd be just a few cents)

Eh, I might later, but currently, I'm just a little agitated someone thought a Walmart gift card was a good idea ::P

I mean, not to sound ungrateful, because I am, I like free money, but who uses that decrepit store anymore?

On the note of groceries, there's no point, I can get groceries FAR cheaper in many areas, and get better quality at that.

And I think I "can" buy gift cards, but their gift card selection was pretty crap too, as I mentioned. Even when in stock, their selection is never that great.

I dunno, I'm still just going to hold onto it, and save it for a rainy day.

Decrepit store? I'll have you know I shop there regularly for regular shit...

And I am sad about it, but what the fuck. My dad's a cheap bastard, fuck, my entire family's cheap as fuck.

Not like we have a say in the matter.

Anyways, I'm back, whoo fucking one man party.

can you buy a walgreen's or cvs or rite aid gift card? their selection is pretty big.

edit: is that money laundering?

No idea, and I don't really care if I can. I don't go to any of those stores enough to justify it.

Like I said, just going to hold onto it and save up for a TV.
