Play some other games, and think of things you would have done differently. Find some abandoned games around here, and try to incorporate some of their ideas, in you own ways.

The mysterious dying mage has stopped Kasper and Strayer as they tried to leave the frozen Marshton behind them for an equally perilous journey past some "Big Scary Hungries"will they make it to Benzol alive? And be on the lookout for the secret path to Pierate Island! That is, if they make it off the shore alive.

I have three or four important maps left to make, and then play test it all before I'll enough new stuff to make a new demo. probably by next weekend.

i moved some stuff around in the first town. it helped with the big empty spaces. i FINALLY just started to understand how variables work, so i'm adding some things in that use them.

Even if I can't play it, I'm still glad that someone is working on a game and puttng out demos. Plus it's got style.

i uploaded the last demo with mega upload, and it kept disconnecting and when it finally worked, it had taken almost 4 hours to upload

Why don't you just upload it here? The forum does have attachments with basically no limit.

i have a confession. im cheating on you all with a few other message boards. i thought there was an upload limit, im usually on my phone though.

what's wrong with rapidshare?

edit: just checked, the max upload size is 64mb, my demo is 70-something

edit le'second: just found something not quite game breaking, but close. there is a certain path that puts you behind the transfer event, which takes you right back to where you were. if it screws you up, i'm sorry, but you'll just have to take the long way around.

edit le'third: is there a way to adjust the framerate settings so more stuff can happen at the same time on the same screen? i wanted to have an npc practicing some sweet moves on a dummy, but it wouldn't allow for the event to function AND have my character move on the same screen.

so ive added the monster hunting quests, and updated the jobs from town hall. what else should i put in? there is a pirate island coming up, along with a magic school, a desert inhabited by identity lacking folk, and a snake village. there is an unintended trip to the afterlife, but i dont know if i want to make that its own sidestory or not. ive never really been able to keep the project going much longer than that, my computers have always pooped out by then (fire, cat pee, hardware failure)

im using xp, 2003 is too much work, and i like the scripting function

Got all the facesets nailed down, they're going to appear on the menu screen instead of the default character sprite.
