/>I tried running on it Ubuntu, but unsurprisingly my attempts were met with unsuccess. When trying to start it, the window just returned a blank message prompt before swiftly closing itself. That's unfortunate, I really did want to see what you had so far.

it's mostly event chain fmv type scenes where the main character's graphic is turned invisible, and is teleported onto an impassible object.
The main character haws moved to a new town where he notices everyone roboticly following their daily routines. he decides he needs to do something to change all that, and decides to break into a mansion belonging to the wealthiest family in town in order to try and make everyone just uncomfortable enough that they start changing the way they live. he hops over a wall behind his house, and sneaks through some trees to get into their backyard where he knocks out a waiter and disguises himself. he then goes into the house, and assaults the wealthy family's matriarch in her bed chamber, and empties their vault. (He also discovers that they've been counterfeiting, but that's revisited later.) After guards are summoned he escapes through a downstairs window, and runs through some trees to a cave, and comes out from behind a waterfall on a mountainside. he goes up the mountain to elude anyone following him, and meets a talking rock in the cave. the rock makes this big rambling speech about there being no free will, and sets up the first part of the story. it returns the player to his house, and he then goes out to find his friend to tell him what happened.
I should have put a note somewhere in there saying that's the end of the demo./>I can't get out of the house after talking to the talking rock. When you get sent back, it resets whatever switch was preventing you from leaving the house before you picked up the daggers, I guess. But I picked up the daggers and equipped them already, and there aren't any more, so I'm trying to figure out if I'm missing something...

i will persist however, after losing my game 6 or 7 times, i've sort of developed a callus to this, and have always made precautions against it, it just seems this time that nature is out to get me.

If anyone wants to be in my game during the next demo, speak your piece. the next major areas are a seaside resort town, a ship, a pirate island, a desert, and a town that has a school of witchery and magic making.
did anyone download and play part 2?

A) Napping doesn't heal me.
B) There's a bunch of glitchy tile placements. It's all kind of weird.
C) I think Kasper moves too slow.
D) The game still ends after talking to the rock and I can't get out of the house.
E) I think the game shows promise and I'd want to play another demo. I also want to be a pirate.

B) I'll fix it in a future build.
D) Idk what happened there, but will fix it in a future build. just looked into it, and i don't see a reason why it doesn't work, i'll have to play it through and see exactly where this may be happening.
E) yay! i was worried nobody would play it! also, you will get to be a pirate, it will be in the next demo, actually. there is a whole island of pirates, but you have to activate that specific story branch. the next demo will have the first opportunity to branch the story. it's not major, but will def. have an effect on the rest of the game.
right now everything is on hold until my contest entry is done.

new screen! It's in an area previously inaccessible because of a rock slide. the roustabouts are busting the rocks that fell to clear the path. it's in the farmlands connecting two of the towns near a river and a hillside. the only thing i don't like about this is that there's only one rtp rock graphic. i'll add more when i find them so there's more variety, so these are just placeholder rocks for the time being.

enemy- Tunacorn. a tuna with horse legs, hooves, and a big horn
npcs: Hitmanuel. a mexican assasin hired to kill you. possibly recruitable
Gobbldylocks- a turkey with a blonde wig, a dress, and a basket full of treats. she needs to go to grandmas house, but gets eaten by bears on unicycles.
item- Mussel Milk- milk from a clam. raises some stat or another.
i could def. fit mussel milk and the tunacorn into the next demo.
