did a ton of rewrites, map changes, got rid of a bunch of old switches that never did anything, balanced enemies, balanced equipment, fixed 8 scenes that were broken, and did tons of tileset work. almost done.

since i love all of you in general, and some of you in particular, i'm making an extra dungeon to extend a sidequest.

alright here's what's holding me up. that game part of the demo is done. it's just very bland. it exists in a world that exists for the quest, and not enough of the world exists around the quest for me to be satisfied. I capped off the first portion of the hunting/trapping club, and am going to finish expanding Ashcliffe Island's quest tonight. If you activated that branch now, it would be very short, and is a complete waste of time since there's really no reward besides seeing a Tunacorn.

yeah there's a machine that manufactures plot devices. i found the best thing ever- production music from ren and stimpy. it's abridged public domain/jazz/classical/instrumental music they used in the show. i need to move away from the midis where i still have them. that means Glace, more music like the mansion song.

i used youtube-mp3.org to rip it. streets recommended it.

 

 

 

this happens now- when you walk in deeper water, you slow down and the sprites are cut off so they're more obscured.

Edit: Villageburg Savings and Loan just failed. i can't figure out where the variables are letting me take out all the money in the world, but i can. banks are stupid anyway.

The bank has taken on a life of it's own. Now it's giving you high interest loans that you won't be able to pay for, then they'll take your house back and still be able to sell it again. It's that predatory lending, man.

there still is a bank robbery side quest and a prize for putting the most money in the bank, it's still too breakable.

very very close. the demo took me 4 hours without any sidequests, but i know everything. just the last few fixes need to be made. the filesize is way too big now, i gotta make some spreadsheets and take out what i'm not using.

(aka: the bacon bits are going in the salad, and coming to table you're actually sitting at instead of one that's just near you.)

 

Edit: it's 830, and i just have to implement the ride em stride em swamp bubbles.
