Alright, BottomGuy has yet to show tonight, despite his devout promptness and loyalty to the battles all through the previous week, so he hasn't rechallenged....

Meaning, as of now, there is currently a tie-
BottomGuy and Maelstrom are each at four badges, four wins and one loss each, with BottomGuy missing Julia's Volt Badge, and Maelstrom still needing Shade's Omen Badge.
Hyperlisk is trailing, having managed to snag only El's White Badge, but he's on the board nonetheless.

As Maelstrom was able to defeat Julia, the sixth leader will be released tomorrow evening. This time, it's the Poison type!

I think how good your team does depends on the stats you assign to attack/spc attack. Like Torterra up there, you've got all physical attacks (which is good, since it's atk is pretty good) except for leaf storm, which is a special attack on a pokemon whose special attack stats aren't great. Either you use EV's to boost it and make it better, or you use those ev's to shore up defenses and/or the atk it's already good at. That's how I see it at any rate.

Without know what some of those pokemon's stats are in those areas... I also want to point out miltank's thunderbolt, corsola's return, and farfetch'd's heatwave (though I imagine that's it's defense against an ice type). Surely farfetched could learn a rock move that would serve as well, if not better.

With Typhlosion and metagross though, I can totally see how they'd do well using both types of attacks. Which is pretty much how my Sharpedo ended up being raised.

Well, cy said the order of the gyms were based on his assessment of their prowess... so I have to wonder at his ground and rock teams, among others.


Edit: If your metagross already has psychic, why use confusion? Why not use some other move to cover potential foe types. looking over it's moves, metagross can learn shadow ball and hammer arm.

In a surprising turn of events, Corey managed to muk up Hyperlisk, Mael and BottomGuy.
Monkeydog, the only active player to not have yet received any badges, was the only one to defeat it.

That one basically just falls apart until it hits Muk, and then everything stops. I don't get it. El's Snorlax uses the same tactic, but it never got anywhere with it.

Anyway, the sixth gym was defeated by someone. That's what counts. The next gym will be Rock!
Mael and BottomGuy are once again tied at five badges, with Hyperlisk, Monkeydog, and Nateh trailing at one each. The fight goes on--

Stupid Gengar and its unrelated ability. It doesn't fly or float. At all. At least next time I'll remember not to use Earthquake next next.

And yeah, that Muk is a pain. If you don't shut it down fast, it will not go down.

Yeah, lucky criticals... eh, if my torkoal's alive by the time it comes out, I may put scope lense back on it. Not sure if I should earthquake or stone edge it though.

And gengar does fly, in the anime at least. and shouldn't it fly, considering it's pre-evolutions could and it's still made of shadow and gas. =P

Heh, your team had a lot of resistances to his. And that muk ko was still lucky as all hell. Your spc attack was as low as it could possibly get when you landed that. Which is why your thunder did so little to crobat as well.
