I honestly think such a team would do better than any other Dark Team I could put together.
And that's not all Umbreon would do. It has so many uses. Such a wonderful pokemon.
But alas, only one. For sad.

Despite it's looks, it's more of a tanker than anything. =(

It's defenses are higher, but it's attacks and speed are all three lower than blastoise, though with higer hp.

My first thought for sub-divisions was more along the lines of "1/2 modified versions of my usual team, 1/2 stuff I've never used before," but your assessment works nicely too.
