Finished Liars and Saints. It was alright. It was her first novel, so I guess it is a bit excusable. The ending was a bit ehhh, but with how the book was shaped and what it was about, I guess I shouldn't have expected much. Although I didn't.

I'm currently slowly going back and forth between The Origin of Species by Chucky Darwin, and The Case for a Creator by Lee Strobel. It's an interesting combination. You can guess which one I'm enjoying more.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Sadly I can't say I've read the whole thing, but the parts I have read... OoS is amazing. So... easy to read, especially considering today's scientific writing.

The Road...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

I think it could basically have dethroned The Catcher in the Rye and Candide as my favourite book.

I should add that to understand the last two books/series that I mentioned (and put everything into perspective), I'm reading Calculus: Early Transcendental Functions and Vector Calculus.

Shadow Out of Time by Howard Phillips Lovecraft.

If you enjoy good hardcore Science Fiction, I'd highly recomend this short little novella, or From the Mountains of Madness. Both are really good, and really under rated stories.

I finished reading a fictional Holocaust story called Sarah's Key a few days ago. It was an amazing book; I couldn't put it down.

From there, I made an attempt to read Nightlight: A Twilight parody. Though I found it highly amusing, I quickly grew tired of it. Since I read 27 pages of the actual book, I decided to read just a little more of the parody, to make a point or something, and I ended up reading to about page 33 (the end of the closest chapter).

Now I'm looking at an Iris Johansen book.
