That's not so bad. I once had a job where, no matter what time of day it was, Maurry was playing.

I got pretty into it.

Wonderful retro sci-fi short film.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Dr. Goldfoot, and the Bikini Machine. it's badically the most ridiculous premise possible. tough talking supervillain Dr. Goldfoot designs a machine that creates super women to seduce important businessmen and military officials, and learn their secrets.

Yeah, I've watched 5 episodes of this. I was dubious at first but the power relations between the characters are starting to become really interesting.

My only real complaint is that it feels a bit patronizing each time Kevin Spacey turns to the camera and explains to the audience what his motivations are. I don't know they just come across as a bit heavy-handed. It seems a bit strange to have such a manipulative and deceitful character break the fourth wall and be so blunt.

I've never watched the original British House of Cards. This new American version has received unfavourable comparisons by the British press, but I checked out the British version and it seemed really dated and didn't have Kevin Spacey.

Without spoiling anything, I think that they did this to build a trust between Spacey and the viewer. There's a pivotal moment near the end where that makes a difference. I don't want to say anything else about it, though.

Yeah, I've watched a few more episodes now and they're not as jarring as they were initially. Some of them are actually quite funny.

The last couple of episodes I've watched have had some really great bits, particularly the TV debate with the union leader:

"Now you've got this wrong, Marty - there is no 'u' and 'i' in 'Education'."

The Nightmare Before Christmas. Because my not having seen it was apparently a heinous oversight that needed to be rectified post haste.

Just finished House of Cards. I didn't go into the show with any big expectations but it definitely won me over. Can't wait for the second season.

watching South Park. after watching nonstop Simpsons and Seth McFarlane cartoons, it's pretty funny. South Park debuted when i was 10, but i was tired of it when i was 11. Netflix and alcohol make life so much easier.

Glad to hear it.

The wife and I have been watching Dr. Who. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but the who has some moments of real brilliance. It took a couple of seasons for it to really get its hooks in to me, though.
