In Queen Of Blood, hard working astronaut everyman John Saxon (the white guy from Enter The Dragon) embarks on a rescue mission to Phobos to rendezvous with a stranded emissary from the first exoplanetary civilization to contact Earth. There, they find an unconcious female alien in her downed spaceship (A), and take her back to their escape pod. on their way back to Earth, they (B) attempt in vain to establish any meaningful communication with the alien, or are able to really figure out anything about her. Once she becomes hungry, she (C-) seduces and drains of blood the captain, another guy, and finally sets upon John Saxon.

Behind all the deep space penetrations are three very important messages about life, and our ideas about universal truths: A- Women can't drive, B- Men will never understand women, so they might as well be from another planet, and C- They will suck the life right out of you if you give them half the chance.

This heartfelt picture is one of the more honest movies i've ever seen. 4/5 sacks of vasculating jello.

Hostel Part 3 is choc full of terrible 90's dialogue, uninspired acting, and violence that writes a lot more checks than it can cash. the antagonist has a stupid mailbox head, and an early 90's butt-cut that screams "please, cut off my arm with a meat cleaver, and save the audience from my stupid mailbox head." which is also incredibly underwhelming when it happens. a bomb goes off in the Elite Hunting building, killing everyone but the villain, and the hero.

then the hero's skank wife leads the villain on (it's a love triangle) until she stabs him in the hand with a corkscrew, and her husband kills the villain with a rototiller (as the camera cuts away) i've never skipped over so much of a movie that delivered on so few of its promises. i like gory movies because i think prosthetics are seriously underutilized with all the advances in cgi. however, without actually showing much of the actual violence, there was little need for convincing prosthetic work.

Saw Django finally.

I loved it. On first watch probably my new favorite Tarantino movie.

But it can be a bit hard to watch at times.

I fucking love Waltz.

I loved Waltz as well I just saw it yesterday, I wouldn't make a statement so bold like it being my new favorite Tarantino movie, But it was pretty awesome.

I still have to say I enjoyed Inglorious Bastards more, though I am really glad that The Jew hunter got to redeem himself by killing slave owners.

Well, I can't say it was a good movie, but it was made with love, there's obvious that someone along the lines actually plays video games, and knew what they were talking about. It's about a kid living in a world where Video Games are treated like sports are, and everybody wants a career in Video Games, and a spot at the best Gaming Colleges. One day, BrianD, a nobody, finds himself playing an FPS with the highest ranked player in the world, and through sheer luck, happens to win. He is instantly taken to VGHS, and must prove his worth before he is expelled for not having a high enough ranking. Meanwhile, his friend, Ted Wong, wrestles with his desire to be a great rhythm gamer like his dad, Freddie Wong, or to chase his passion for racing games. All in all, it's pretty amusing, and definitely worth the time spent watching it. Lots of little treats for gamers, and even some internet stuff. I'd say watch it if you can find it. It's on Netflix.

I have been on a sort of vacation for the last week and watched all sorts of things with the wife.

Looper - Pretty damn good. Moderately cliche ending, but the cliche worked with this movie, I think.

12 Monkies - Keeping the Bruce Willis/Time Travel theme. Excellent. I think I'm going to go looking for more Terry Gilliam movies.

H+ - For a web series, the production values are top notch. I don't think I could have tolerated watching this 5 minutes per week, though. But I am excited for the next season.

Lars and the Real Girl - I loved this movie. The humor matched some of the best parts of The Office, so uncomfortable you can't help but laugh. Also very touching. Recommended.

The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

I don't enjoy comedy movies very much, but I agree that Lars and the Real Girl's a pretty good movie.

I'm...I'm watching "Say Yes to the Dress". >.> I thought I broke myself of watching TLC, but with nothing else on that I want to watch...I've fallen back on bad habits. XD

I watched Jeff, Who Lives at Home because it has Ed Helms and Jason Segal in it, and that was enough for me.

Huh? Oh yeah the movie was pretty good.
