I dunno about FMA, but subbed DBZ is quite jarring when you're used to the dub, so I can understand that sentiment.

Speaking of Subbed stuff, have any of you seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?

I typically will watch a foreign film in its original language. I don't mind reading subtitles, and prefer to be a bit more "purist" about movies and such. But I absolutely cannot watch the subtitled version of this movie, I have to watch the english dub. For some reason the english titles are different from the english voice overs. In some cases, the writing in the subtitles is so different that it fails to convey the meaning of a scene. However, since in this particular movie, the voice overs were voiced by the original chinese actors, it still feels rather authentic compared to most foreign language films.

I saw it subbed and didn't have a problem with it. What stuck out more to me were the floaty kung fu physics.

I generally prefer to see things in their original language and having subs.

unless the first time I see it is already a dub, then for some reason I can't stand the subbed version, like DBZ and FMA (though I did like subbed Brotherhood more)

AVP and AVP2 were on last Saturday, so me and a few friends watched it, while enjoying some vodka, whisky and the occasional smoking of the mighty green herb.

The Mentalist Season 2 since I had never seen it but have the other two for the show. It's the only crime show like it I can tolerate. Oh and saw The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by David Fincher. Quite good.

I watched Source Code last night at Kamau's suggestion. It was a bit confusing at first, but I think that was intentional since the main character starts out disoriented and has no clue what's going on.
=p

It also felt a little bit Fringe-y, which worked out well since Thursday is usually our Fringe night.

I enjoyed just about everything about that movie, except the stupid name. I really wish they came up with a better name.

And now I've finally seen Pirates 4. As I had heard, it was not nearly as good as the first, but leaps and bounds better than 2 and 3. In my brother's words, "I could actually tell you what happened in this one."

Yay, more people that like Source Code! =D I love everything about that movie. I even have a movie poster for it on my wall (not only because the movie is awesome, but since I know the premise behind the movie, I absolutely love the depth of thought that I can pretend went into making the poster, if it actually didn't.)

Aside from watching a couple of episodes of Glee, Season 2, I've...been watching a lot of Fox News. For various reasons.
