I used to say there was no such thing as a Kansas accent, but my dad definitely has one. For example, it's difficult to tell the difference between the words "pen" and "pin" when he says them. I guess I have a bit of it too since I say stuff like "bolth." We must like L's over here since my dad also says "solvreign." =p

Uh...tea...as in teeeeeeeeeeeee ... am i pronouncing it incorrectly?I dunno Chase, it's just kinda funny trying to imagine Americans pronouncing it - no offence!
True that, but i still haven't heard a replacement for tea.Well, in Britain, cookies are called biscuits and lawyers are called solicitors. We changed a lot of words just to be different from them, I think. =p
*I <3 biscuits*
Everybody has an accent, as well as different dialects within a country, but people just get accustomed to the accent they're used to.This may sound really dUmB, but do we (British) actually sound like we have an accent? Or are we just classed as posh? HMM.
YAY lots of quotes!

Americans sound silly when they try to fake a British accent. Not as bad as when they fake an Australian accent though. Fake Aussie-talk is just horrible.
Hehe, which reminds me of that Office episode when Kevin wanted to be an Aussie over the phone ...
