I was really rooting for you the first night, after you weren't killed! To be honest, I even though about just making you one of the killers, so you couldn't be killed first. If it makes you feel any better, technically, Spaz was killed first.

I've kind of come to expect it in these games, so it's cool. But you're right - technically, I did die second this time!

Well, a lot of "finding stuff" is based on a die roll. You don't even have to actively look for something, though I usually do tend to shift the odds toward people who play.


Of course, all the odds shifting in the world wouldn't have kept our two most active players in this round. Sorry ladies!

Yeah, the first time I just decided what would happen, but the second and this time, I wanted to make things a little bit more random, and try to rule out any "favoritism", although since I decide on the DCs, it could still happen. I like being surprised, too. I don't always use dice, either. Sometimes a simple coin flip or throwing a dart at my calendar or any number of things.

Just a couple of notes: Those of you who have held the knife can confirm that you can't hide it if anyone decides to search your body or room, it will be found, and you shouldn't base suspicions on someone you don't know, because everyone here was randomly assigned roles, and thus just as likely as the next to be the killer.

Really? Yes, we all know out of character that roles are randomly assigned, but I think getting on peoples case for making an in-character post for the sake of discussion, where that information would not be distinctly known, is a bit much.

In case this happens again on day 4, I'm trying to remember what your rule is on consensus. If some players don't vote, but the rest of the players reach a majority decision among themselves, does that count? Or does it have to be a majority among all living players?

 

EDIT: To use this past day as an example, we had two votes each for two defendants, plus four people who didn't vote. Do you count that as 50/50 or 25/25/50?

If players don't post, I don't count against them. If they post that they abstain from voting, then that counts. So for the end of this day, I'd count it as 50/50. If, for the next one, we still only get four votes, but three are for one person, and one is for another, but not specifically against the other three votes, then that will be majority consensus.

 

Edit: So if the majority of people voting decide to do something, it's assumed that everyone else has no will to do or stop anything, and the majority group overpowers any other opinions.
