This probably isn't the place, but I bought a guitar and I wanted to show it off. SO LOOK AT IT.

It's a reissue of a 1950's guitar, so there are some cheesy, outdated things about it. Mostly, the bridge has three saddles instead of six, so it was a little tricky getting the intonation right. Plus, it comes with this funky ashtray cover, which was presumably used to hold joints, I don't know. I've seen George Harrison play a Telecaster that had this kind of pickup cover, but I can't figure out what the point of it was. It looks cool, though.

So far, I love it. I've always wanted a blonde telecaster, and I got a great deal on it.

Harrison had such great taste in guitars. I remember back when I cared about such things, I always wanted what he had. Because I'm lame like that and he's awesome like that.

That guitar is awesome I wish I had one that nice. I can't even afford strings for my guitar right now, I've been playing on the ones I have so long they're starting to unravel. It hasn't gotten to the point that it can't hold a tune yet though so... that's good I suppose, it really sounds like shit right now though. It makes it hard for me to want to play.

It took many months of working a shitty minimum wage job, but I feel very blessed to be able to have it. It's the first nice guitar I've owned. What kind of guitar do you have, out of curiousity?

 

 

Harrison had such great taste in guitars. I remember back when I cared about such things, I always wanted what he had. Because I'm lame like that and he's awesome like that.

 

Truth. His Gretsch and his Rickenbacker are two of my dream guitars.

My parents' living room. There are a couple things that bug me about it, but my dad has an architecture degree from Stanford and can be very "arty" with his designs, so one does not question his interior decorating. It's very hard to make him change his mind on stuff like that.

As for the seal (and the hightop on the shelf), those were made by my older sister in her high school pottery classes, so they will always be displayed somewhere.
