i think it fits. Sometimes the fun of DIY is using what you have to make something new./>
As cool of a mod as that is, can we please stop calling paint jobs of existing items "DIY". If you don't build it yourself, it isn't really do it yourself, is it?
The universe is a cruel, uncaring void. The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.

Andy was never the brightest tactician.
Dropping down a well that time forgot
With scars that show that we care a lot
In the sky we dreamt like a juggernaut
Of the things we'd do and what we saught

I've had a Wii U for about a week now, and I've been playing it pretty consistently. Here's my thoughts on it so far.
Pros:
- The multiplayer is awesome on it. The gamepad in Nintendoland is used awesomely. In Warriors Orochi we don't have to use split screen, which is pretty great.
- Off screen playing is so so so great. I love just being able to play things without even having to turn on the TV, or being able to play stuff while being able to watch TV.
- The gamepad is pretty nice, I haven't had any problems with it.
- Earthbound.
Cons:
- Too many controllers. You need Wiimotes (and sometimes nunchucks) or Pro Controllers for multiplayer, and I didn't have a Wii so I'll need to buy them. Luckily Wiimotes aren't that expensive and Bee's sister bought be like a bundle of stuff (Wiimote + Pro Controller + other thing) at Goodwill that hopefully works. It's just seems like a lot of different stuff just for multiplayer.
- Virtual console. It's not that bad, but PSN has spoiled me with cross buy (I don't understand why I need to buy things separately for the 3DS and Wii U). There's not a whole lot on the Wii U's VC, and it's a bit over priced I feel. You can get a lot on the Wii's VC, but you can't play Wii stuff with the Gamepad, which sucks part of the joy out of it for me.
- There is a huge lack of games. Currently I have Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (which I bought with the GC that came with the Wii U), Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper (which I also bought with the GC that came with the Wii U), The Wonderful 101 (which I bought cheap at TRU), Nintendoland (came with it) and Skylanders Swapforce (came with it and haven't played it). I don't think it's as bad as the X1/PS4, which is just full of either cross platform games or mediocre/bad exclusives. Buuuut they just came out, most console launches are like that. The Wii U has been out a long time and there's still not a whole lot, and everything that exists to get excited for is a mystery (like Bayonetta 2 or Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem). There's a lot of Wii stuff I never played (like the Operation Rainfall stuff) and there's virtual console stuff to keep me busy. So it's not that bad, but I wish there was more to be excited about. All I am for sure getting at this point is Windwaker. Mario World/Pikmin/Game and Wario will need to drop cheap for me to pick them up, and maybe Mario Kart but not at launch.
So in short. I like it, but I need Windwaker. I also need launch dates for SHTxFE and Hyrule Warriors and they need to be now.

Stop making me want to go get a Wii U. Stop it, I say.
If you ever feel a need to catch up on some Wii games, you should be able to find Muramasa, Red Steel 2, and Sin & Punishment for cheap.
Muramasa is by VanillaWare, so you know it'll be pretty. Red Steel 2 is far from perfect, but I've yet to find better wii-mote swordplay. I haven't actually played my copy of Sin & Punishment yet, but I generally hear good things, and like I said, it's cheap.
Dunno if you played Okami on the PS2, but even if you did, it's amazing with the Wii controls.

Yeah, I've played Okami on the PS2. Been thinking about snagging it if it ever goes on sale on PSN.
Muramasa is something I've been wanting to play buuuut I'd rather buy Rebirth for my Vita. One day.
I'll probably softmod the Wii part of the Wii U eventually. Mainly because I really want to play Xenoblade but no way am I paying for it at the prices it calls for. Same with The Last Story.

I'd like to get The Last Story at some point. Maybe with a B2G1 at Gamestop when I have time to play and money to burn. I've also had my eye on the Kirby collection since I've never played a Kirby game.

Kirby 64 is good, but you can't go wrong with Kirby Super Star. (it's also easy to get because it's on a ton of Nintendo consoles, I think).
Suikoden II is coming to PSN!!!
Ohmygosh. I'm so excited. It's one of my favorite games ever. If you haven't played it and you like JRPGs you should give it a try, I doubt you'll regret it.
I hope PSN keeps it up with these classic RPGs. First Persona 4, now Suikoden II...I hope we can get Breath of Fire III or a PS2 Wild Arms...or more Suikoden, I'd love to play III again or IV/V. There's other stuff I'd love, that have no chance at coming out. Like Tales of Destiny or Azure Dreams.

Speaking of RPGs I've been hoping to play on my Vita...
I don't particularly like SAO, as I mentioned in the anime forum, but this could be interesting. If it can at least touch on what I think is interesting about the show and/or .hack I'll be happy.
I am seriously loving my Vita though, despite the lack of games, it's a little powerhouse when it comes to JRPGs.
