completely unsolicited, and in the course of a normal business call, my customer says to me "have you ever been to burning man? if you ever go you should bring a bike. we didn't bring one, so we decided to just hang out and drink and burn things near the campsite" and i'm thinking "yeah, burn things..." 

 

and i just called to get a due date change on a yogurt shipment....

So, I lent my 3DS to SHE for a little while over the summer, cuz SHE wanted to play A Link Between Worlds. I haven't really turned it on since I got it back, since I've beat all of the games I have for it, but when I heard there was a Smash demo, I figured I'd try it (especially since I probably won't be getting Smash for a while).

There was no battery. I had to charge it for a few minutes before it would even turn on while it was still plugged in. I had lent her the charger in addition to the 3DS itself (cuz not doing so would be silly), so I really don't know why SHE didn't give it back to me charged.

Sometimes a device's battery can lose charge just by doing nothing because it's old. Does it retain its charge now, or do you have a very reduced game time?

My 3DS isn't terribly old, I got it last year. I asked SHE about it, and apparently she just forgot. So, I'm not that worried- especially as now that I have charged my 3DS, the battery seems to be functioning normally.

It's just kind of a pet peeve to me. If I lend my 3DS to someone, I expect them to return it at least somewhat charged, not to empty out the battery and just go 'oops'.

I don't understand how you can make a battery go down that low. I freak out when I'm like at 75%.

Just weighed myself for the first time in over a year. I've put on 2 stone, which is quite a scare. I did a BMI calculator and that was pretty terrifying.

Seeing you mention stone weight made me want to convert my weight into stones and it made me feel way better about myself. That's such a small number!
