By the way, what's your steam name?
In other news, if we ever do that Civ V thing, I can stream my screen at least, as long as my opponents promise not to use that to their advantage.

Or, to put it more politely, "Neener neener."

Hey Vicious, I suggest a no kill run on Sniper: Ghost Warrior for your live stream.

Actually that might make for an interesting thing. Can such a thing be done? All I really remember is that Sniper: Ghost Warrior is a terrible game. But playing it as a no-kill... Might actually make it somewhat interesting.
So far, this is still a go. I've had a few things come up today, so I'm moving this to 6 P.M. Eastern. This is mostly just to make my day be less hectic. I play on streaming for at least two or three hours.
Steam chat will work fine for now, and if you're not already a member of the MonkeyPro steam community, it's here: http://steamcommunit...roups/monkeypro . For future streams, though, I think IRC might work better so that we can keep a chatlog of the event. Steam is, of course, free. Anyone who hasn't already can add me as a friend, name is the invincible man .
Also, I'm sorry Monkey, but I won't be able to record the stream. At the moment, I just don't have the hard drive space. I'll try to sort this out for later.

If I can figure out how to stream it with voice, I'll do Killing Floor.

How are you streaming it in the first place?

I should have enough for streaming, I hope. But not enough for a couple of hours of video to be stored. Maybe I'll have to delete some stuff. Le sigh.

That didn't answer my question at all.

OK, so here's the scoop. I think I've got everything set up and ready to go. Hell, my wife is crazy and she even got a web cam. So I'm sorry to report that you're going to be forced to see my ugly face.
I am freeing up space on one of my hard drives so that I can hopefully record this wonderful occasion. The good ol' Monkeypro IRC chatroom is still open, and I suggest that we all use that for chatting. That's where I'll be. Many instant messenger programs have an IRC client, or you can download a plug in for your favorite browser. I'm using Chatzilla for Firefox. Here is the info to connect:
Server name: irc.freenode.net
Channel: #MonkeyPro
Or click this fellow:
irc://irc.freenode.net/MonkeyPro
To view the video stream, just go to my twitch.tv page, here: http://www.twitch.tv/viciousparker
Don't afraid to give me feedback on how things look or behave. I've never done this before, so this will be a real test of my hardware and bandwidth. Officially the streaming starts at 6 p.m. eastern time, but I will be in the chatroom leading up to that point, and likely streaming bits and pieces, just to make sure everything is running smoothly. I don't know how long I will be streaming, but probably at least for a few hours. If everybody leaves me early, I may quit and go cry in my bedroom.
Hope to see lots of people there!

Twitch TV doesn't record to their server but to your hard drive? That's weird, I think. Since I feel like ustream recorded to the server itself, whenever we'd use it for awards shows.

I'm streaming me massacring the zombie horde in Killing Floor because I might as well until 6:30 Eastern time. You can view it by going to http://www.twitch.tv/streets913 Enjoy.
EDIT: Doing LOTRO at the moment. There didn't seem to be any good servers open. Blargh.

Can't say for Twitch but Livestream definitely does this. You can even set it up to not record on your hard drive at all and just go straight to the cloud. Like catching a seventh pokemon.Damn, so it does save there. See? Total newbie to this. Good news everyone!

Thinking of doing a *Shock themed livestream. During the recent steam sale, I picked up both System Shock 2 and Bioshock Infinite. I have barely touched either. Haven't picked a day yet, but maybe next weekend.
Would anybody be interested in a live stream of the first couple of hours of either game?

I haven't played Bioshock Infinite yet, so I'd probably give that a miss until I've played it myself. Would love to watch you play the first couple hours of System Shock 2 though. Love the beginning of that game. Though I think you need to play the first 4-ish to fully experience the games awesomeness.

I haven't seen System Shock 2 played, and I doubt I'll ever pick it up, so I might actually be interested in that one.
As for Infinite, I'll take a pass if you play that one. I've played it, seen it played... and honestly, I think it is WAY overrated. Just not as fun a game as people make it out to be. Even less fun watching it be played.
