I think I love my job, and at other times I hate it. It's so stressful and tiring sometimes, because I can't just quit because I'm an adult. But I'm exhausted right now, and wish I could really enjoy the things I can have now because of it.
I'm also applying for a lead position, but I'm a little afraid I won't be able to do it well and my current lead (who I'm pretty sure I'd be replacing) will have to see my answers on what I would do better than him... Awkward.

I don't think so?
Technically I'm not supposed to know he's leaving. But it's pretty obvious. The manager of the department I'm in is supposed to interview me, initially, I know that. But I really don't know if he will too, especially since he'll be moving into a position to just be the lead of all the leads.
