[Vicious Parker]

I watched this last night, and when I got home the wife asked me how I would rate it out of four stars.

I rated it "3.silly"

Because it was a silly movie. But a good movie.

I sort of expect/hoped that they'd do that with Kim, at least (I liked her in the comic, thought she was kind of interesting).

That's one of the most disappointing things about the movie. The lack of Kim's character. She's just kind of...there. I think Young Neil is more developed than she is. THAT SHOULDN'T BE THE CASE.

At least there's still lots of Wallace. As there should be.

I love Mathew Patel's song. And Broken Social Scene, Metric, and Beck's stuff.

god I want to see this...but it wont be released in holland until the 16 of september.

and strangely enough, there are no real torrent or downloads, only fakes.

And awesome Invince.

But, no, that's not Beck singing, although he wrote the song. He did sing like...the Ramona song. But the Sex Bob-omb stuff is performed by the band. So that's Mark Webber (Stephen Stills) and Micheal Cera singing.

Like how Crash and the Boy's stuff is written by Broken Social Scene, but performed by the actors, and Clash at Demonhead's song is written by Metric but performed by the actors (so much better hearing Brie Larson sing rather than Emily Haines of Metric.)

I watched it again this afternoon with my brother since he hadn't seen it yet, and I think I spotted something that I missed the first time around.

When they were dueling exes 5 & 6, the dials on the twins' synth looked like they said "11" in Japanese, which is awesome if they did what I think they did.

I'm two and a half minutes into this movie and already I've had to stop watching to post how much I wub it.

Watched it with the feature commentary yesterday and learned some interesting things about the movie. First off, I am ashamed that I did not realize immediately that the Chaos Theater is an Earthbound reference. *shaaaaame* And now that I can pause and frame-forward and all that, I confirmed that the twins' amps do go up to 11 in Japanese. But it was also pointed out that - with their theme of having loads of numbers around each of the exes - since the twins are exes 5 and 6, they total up to 11.

Now to watch the other three commentaries~

EDIT: Also from the feature commentary, for some reason I loved the tag lines for the fake "Action Doctor" movie they apparently had ads for in at least one of the scenes.
"The good news is you'll live. The bad news is he's going to kill you."
"Check your pulse May 8."

EDIT 2: The Action Doctor ad is on the side of the bus after the fight with Patel.

EDIT 3: Also I suppose there's that whole lineup of movie ads when Wallace is talking about Lucas Lee...
