:D I'm going to hold you to that.

I'm interested to see how co-op would work. I don't see it having as much replay value as Team Fortress 2 or Left 4 Dead. But I suppose there will probably be multiple solutions for puzzles, and then there will community maps and stuff.

I waaaaaaaant Portal 2. ;-; Can't get it yet. I don't think the laptop I'm currently using could handle it, and I would have/want to play it on the PC.

Also, I am apparently P-Body.

I'm up to "The Fall".

It's pretty enjoyable but it feels a bit more repetitive than the original.

I believe Tony found that. It was pretty proud.

I got stuck a few times during this chapter. I like the bouncing goo!

That song is just the song on the easy to find radio. It's not the secret transmission.

Thomas has infomed me that there are Fringe references in Portal 2. o.O

Something about fireflies that resemble the secret code before commercial breaks plus a song by Violet Sedan Chair on one of the radios (in a level called Super 8?).

Super 8 is a trailer for a J J Abrams movie...so it'd make sense if there was a Fringe reference.

I haven't finished yet so maybe it has a wonderful ending, but I'm actually a little underwhelmed.

It's enjoyable and the puzzles are satisfying but the pacing doesn't feel quite right. The dialogue is a little tedious in parts too, which is a shame because it was so good in the first one.

There are some things that should be really funny
Spoiler
but mostly it just kind of comes off as "whacky" background chatter because it's not really tying in with the gameplay experience in the same way that it did in the first one.

Anyways, I'll probably muster up the enthusiasm to complete it tonight so hopefully it has a spiffing ending.

Just enjoy it. Yeah there are a few 'wacky' moments, but they fit. The ending will make you happy. PROMISE!

My two complaints:

The puzzle solutions, specifically the ones that are outside of the chambers, don't feel quite as natural as they did the first time around. They feature a lot of cleverness, but often feel far too intentional.

NO CHALLENGE MAPS! I am so very sad about this. The challenge maps kept me playing the first game for weeks. I suspect that they will come in the future, and likely for free, but they are missing and I am sad.

I can't wait until the SDK comes out. Custom maps will be cool. Hell, I might even make one.

Of course, dear. Valve love their modders. The first portal has a whole bunch of custom maps floating around.
