+++Day 1 of Big Kid Job.

+ Gave myself an hour to get from train station to location of work.
- Train was 20 minutes late.
+ Still got to location of work early (just not as early as I had wanted)
- Ended up waiting 40 minutes for boss person to come let me in (didn't have employee ID yet; was there early to get said ID)
-- She kind of forgot I was coming in BUT
+ Shiny ID badge!
+ Gets to work with awesome mentor person!
+++++ Boss person introduced me to awesome mentor person and said that I had "an impressive resume for a recent grad" AND awesome mentor person agreed and introduced me the same way later to other people! :3

- Home after 1 a.m.
++ NOT home after 2 a.m. since I made the hour earlier train. Woo!

+++ This is the firs time I've gotten to meet the younger one. I'd only seen him in photos and Skype chats before now.

+ Train was on time today
- Employee ID still doesn't get me into the building
+/- Emailed boss person about getting me back in.
+ Boss person emailed me back
- I don't have internet on my phone. I got my mom to email her from home. Soo I never got it.
+ She also left me a voice mail so at least I got that.
+ Still finally got into the building.
+ The security guard was sympathetic. XD "Wow, you were stuck out there for a long time!"

+ Moved on from "look but don't touch" to "touch but it's not on air"
+ Was essentially pop quizzed on what I was shown yesterday
++ Totally nailed it.
+ This is all fun!

+ The security guard outside the food place remembered me from yesterday and let me back in after also being sympathetic. "Did you get your card fixed?" "No... ): " "I hope you get it fixed soon!"

+++ Made my first buddy at Big Kid Job! (Not counting awesome mentor person, who is obligated to allow me to follow her around for the week.)
++++++ He was impressed because I could legitimately talk to him about baseball and acoustics (he's an audio mixer). According to him, I "rose a ton of notches in his cool book."

- Train ride home is long and makes my head hurt.
-- Other reason for head hurting might be wisdom teeth. Maybe.

F***ing 4 hours of public transport a day, just to work 8 hours...thank god for full refund on travel expenses.

Roughly an hour an a half one way trip, each way. And my one way home gets me in after 1 in the morning. ): So yes, we share the pain - we just don't share the benefit of refunds for travel. Lucky!

+ My ID let me into the building this time! (I cheered when it worked. The security guard smirked. He thought I wasn't looking but I was. XD )

+++ I got to prompt live! Just little segments, but I got to all the same!
++ Going to hopefully get to watch some of my prompting when the show comes on in a half hour.
- Going to lose sleep because of it.
+But that's okay!

+++ Prompted an entire show and a half live today!
- Messed up at one point
+/- I don't know if anyone but mentor person saw it.
+ Hopefully now I know not to do it again.

+ Going to be shadowing someone new tomorrow.

---- "12 to 8" is not "11-7". ):
- "11-7" means I have to catch an 8:31 train.
------ 8:31 train is now Off Peak.
----------- Off Peak means I have to pay an extra $16 for a train ticket because my 10-trip "off peak" ticket is no good for this.
+ Not using the Off Peak trip tomorrow hopefully means I now have my July trip to the city covered. I hope.
+++ "11-7" means 9:45 train home, which means hope before midnight!

Emailing boss person to see if she'll let me come in a bit later. >.> We shall see, we shall see.

I forsee another nap on the train ride either way.

+ Worked with a different mentor today, who was a ton of fun.
+ Totally different environment today.
+ Everyone is so friendly!

++ Treated myself to a " serve yourself and pay by the weight" ice cream place at the train station.

- Next week = two 5 a.m. trains
------and one 4 a.m. train due to the holiday
