Fillmore raced up, headed straight to the outlet and unplugged the cord, and began walking around the bed, stamping out areas of the carpet that had caught, muttering under his breath.

[( Sorry I haven't been posting, busy + other irl issues have been bothering and will continue to do so. I'll try to post at least once a day. )]
Silvs breathed heavily, having barely avoided being trapped in the burning room with Kamau by just happening to have left the room to get a glass of water.
"Oh hell..."
Silvs had been deliberately trying to stay out of the way of this whole killing business. He had been acting under the philosophy that if he didn't endanger the killer in any way, then he'd be safe. But it was disturbing to him that not only could someone slip into his room at night and strangle his roommate, but that he could let a fire start without him noticing? It seemed to be pieced together a bit too well.
But, for the time being, he joined the others in stamping out the flames that had been engulfing his room, trying to save his belongings.

Fillmore shook his head again, muttering under his breath some more. "I should never have..." He looked around, more like glared at everyone, "Don't you see! If Hyperlisk had done it, he would have never brought any attention to the fire, nor would he have done anything about it! You're all putting the wrong people on trial! Since we got here you've accused me, but nobody wanted to throw me out, and you've accused Hyperlisk, but I doubt he'll get thrown out.
"No, what we need is some action. We need to get Genifur out of this house before she kills again!" Fillmore glanced back at Mr. Bear, "Or have we all forgotten that we're waiting on a testimony? I hope you don't fall asleep on us again, Mr. Bear."

Leaning against the wall in relief that the fire was out, Jody rolled her eyes at the talk of putting Hyperlisk on trial. "How does someone not only start an electrical fire while we're all downstairs, but also somehow know that it's going to happen? I think you're all being a little irrational. You guys are really pulling at nothing now. Water is the obvious solution to fire. I think we should be happy he was ready to instantly help. What if someone started the fire to get us up here and ambushed us? Also, the blanket not only was on long and hot enough to fry a person, but also wasn't built to be on for so long. I don't think you should be pointing fingers over it."

Puffin raised an eyebrow at Jody and Fillmore's comments, "I'm not saying he set the fire, I'm just saying there's a possibility he could have thrown water on an electrical fire on purpose, knowing that it'd make it worse. Granted, he could have thrown water on it without knowing, but we all knew the electrical blanket was on and it should have been obvious that it would have been the cause of the fire, even if it wasn't obvious, water is never the 'obvious solution' to a small fire unless you know what the cause of the fire is. Sure, he could have just been being stupid, but I think he should be questioned at the very least." He shrugged, "Really, I'm not convinced Genifur has done anything to deserve your suspicion, just yet, anyway..."
