The movies are alright, I feel like they all have a problem of being completely convoluted and more of an escape from reality than we're usually meant to believe. Plus, movie 3 had Shiho Miyano (or in the dub, Anita, or whatever) which is LAAAME. Since she has yet to show up in the English dub when it comes to episodes...despite her episode only being 6 more episodes off. arrr.
Fun fact, I was looking at the release date for movie number 5 and noticed we're getting movie number 6 too! Hurray!
I feel like when I get the money, I'll buy all of Case Closed. The season's aren't that expensive. (god, anime has become cheaper than when I cared about it. Now it's about the price of an American season of TV when it first comes out) But if anyone cares to see these and not buy...look on Demonoid~
Edit: I just realized I became happy for something I knew months ago, but have seemed to forgotten. Oh well.

There was a site that has a stream broken up into several parts, but I haven't tried watching that yet.

One more movie and that's it? :(
I really wish this series got more attention. I think I realize why I like this show so much, it's not very animeish. It's like Cowboy Bebop, it feels like a show that could have been done almost exactly the same in the western world. Probably because they're both shows very much centered around Western culture. Case Closed and its Arthur Conan Doyle/Agatha Christie/Crime Drama influences stuff (AND LOL FIREFLY IS LIKE THE SAME SHOW, RIGHT?), and Cowboy Bebop and its Western Music/Old Western/Batman:TAS flavored influences. Adult Swim really dropped the ball with this series, and so did Funimation. Looking at how well Cowboy Bebop did here (although that could be argued that it was just the great quality in the show to begin with, like how Miyazaki movies are beloved here)... I don't see why Case Closed couldn't do wonderful here. Especially considering how many freaking crime shows there are on television, most of which fail in the quality of any episode of Case Closed. I would assume it's just because it's a CARTOON, so many episodes, and the earlier episodes look really crude. But...we do have The Simpsons.
So yeah, I really hope they announce some new seasons soon.

Hold it right there criminal! Case Closed is a great show and all, but it is not a quality crime show. There's no mystery in it, you know right away who the bad guy is the moment they're introduced.
Now, the story is good, the plots for each episode, the characters are pretty well developed and the animation is great, but as far as a crime show goes, it sort of falls short.

Or, to put it more politely, "Neener neener."

And since when is something like CSI not obvious in almost every episode? I just said in comparison to other shows.
And you know, if you go back and look at some of the older mysteries it's based off of, like Sherlock Holmes...those were all kind of obvious too. It's doing great in a way that it emulates them in a more modern setting, at least.

I currently own 4 box sets of Case Closed episodes. I...don't really remember what episode the sets go up to (psst, Stars, do you remember? XD) but I do know that when I last looked them up, I determined that they ended in the middle of season 4.
I'm trying to figure out if this and this are the English seasons 4 and 5. (I know it says that the language is English and Japanese, but I don't necessarily trust that...) Can anyone else who has the series help confirm this? I'd really like to buy them some time soon. It's been a long enough wait. =p
Also, the movies. Has anyone seen any of them? I'd like to get them eventually but there are, what, 14 or so?

And what you linked to aren't specific listings...they do exist, obviously...but you never know if someone on ebay may be tricking you in an individual listing.

The second was when we watched an episode my junior year in high school for the anime club. I was never a strong member within the anime side of the club as I did not know much about it, but I liked many of the shows they featured and the people involved. Sadly the episode they chose to air that day was a poor sample of the series. Long did I criticize that there was no sleuthing or logic behind anything within the episode and many of the leaps were laughable. And lo on that day did I become the Lovable Anime Critic! Forever poking fun at all anime, whether I held it in the lowest esteem or as a true favorite, none would escape my peanut gallery jester remarks.
Yes yes, good days...
Not "conspiracies". Conspiracy. Singular.
