Tales of Symphonia 2, Dawn of the New World - Bought it this morning, its pretty awesome. If you enjoyed Part 1, you'd definitely enjoy this one (Wii only) - EVERYTHING references back to game 1 though, so new players might not like it as much for some of the story that they've missed. However, its still quite playable - I'm already really loving the characters and the surprise new storyline twist.

I picked up my reserved copy of Mirror's Edge today, but I haven't gotten to play it yet. Too much homework for a few more days...

Okay, so Mirror's Edge makes me very happy (and occasionally very annoyed). I realized a short ways in while I was running through a warehouse that it reminded me of Portal (just a little bit), the main difference being that I die a lot more than I did in Portal, due just as much to my own mistakes as to the cops ganging up on me. I love how the game constantly tells you to run from groups of enemies until you can fight them one-on-one, then in the second chapter it had me fighting five at once in a nice big open area.

My main gripe is that I always end up hitting the 180-turnaround button (R1) instead of attack (R2) whenever the cops catch me by surprise, though it did eventually get me a really funny trophy. At one point, I was running up a narrow ramp on the side of a building, relieved to have finally gotten away from one of the cops' stupid helicoptors. Without any warning, a guy suddenly jumped out from around a corner I was about to take and started shooting his sidearm at me. I jumped at him to try drop kicking him off the building, but I ended up twisting around in midair due to hitting the wrong button and falling off the ledge myself. As my character fell, it looked like she was flipping off the cop that startled me. At first I thought I was just seeing things, then I found out that there's a trophy called "Sweet Goodbye" that's earned by "Triggering the flip-off move." It made me laugh.

I just finished Call of Duty: World at War last night.

and what realy got my attention is: even less of a storyline than previous CoD series.

onto the Flaws:
(1) I seem to randomly die at times, even though i have not been badly wounded (the red color that indicated the amount of "OMGIMGONNADIE" was small and pinkish)

(2) "watch out for the grenade indictator".....well I really would want to do that, but sometimes it's just not there. or the grenade explodes 0,1 seconds after the indicator suddenly pops up in bright white (very close to grenade).

(3) I had a few cases where I could not kill the tree snipers (lol godmode)

(4) Some white lines appear at the edges of the water physics or texture tiles (mostly water only (very clearly even))

(5) at some points it seemed that the enemy only sees you as a target. example: im walking behind my teammates (4 of them) when suddenly whe get ambushed by japs in cammo, 10 or so, and like 6 of them just blindly run past my mates directly to me with their knifeguns screaming BANZAI!! (weird thing is that none of the teammates even notice 6 japs running past them) and logically I die from multi japstab.

(6) in the last jap mission (same flaw as in 5) we get stormed by like waves of 30 japs vs 5 of us (including me) 3 japs surround a teammember......you would think the dude would stand up and try to fight them.......but no......he simply stay's in crounch mode and fires at other japs that are no threath yet..........realy, WTF is wrong with the AI? so loggically he dies...............when suddenly the dead member is replaced by a new one jumping through a window, and gues what.......he's retard level is the same as the dead guy who he replaced.

enough about flaws, some pros now:

(1) much play levels that are medium in size, but well made for taking cover and flanking.

(2) the graphics are nicely done, they ressemble CoD4 but take less recources >> more F p/s

(3) 4 player Co-op online mode so you can complete the game with your friends (and no/less retard teammembers)

(4) ingame cheats (unlocked by finding cards in each level) are only accessible while playing Co-op mode so you can have more of a challenge, fun or both (no crappy inf ammo and that shit)

(5) nicely made ambushes by the japs, you never expect them.

Overall: Though it did not defeat CoD4 in my eyes it's still fun to play, especially with friends assisting you.

Doesn't help much.

I just beat Mirror's Edge on medium difficulty, and I must say, I despise pursuit cops. I mean, they're awesome and all, but they irritate the heck out of me since they take so many shots to kill, and disarming them isn't worth the trouble or the precious use of the 'time slow' button for those wimpy little guns that they never use because they're too busy kicking me to death. I'd like to say that I hate snipers too, but stealing their guns is just too much fun. :3

Guess I'll either try hard mode, try to unlock trophies, or move on to another game next.

Been playing short games and demos for the last couple days. I just downloaded PS3 demos for Eternal Sonata (haven't tried it yet, but it looks pretty) and Bioshock yesterday, and I finally installed the LEGO Batman demo that came with Mirror's Edge. More importantly, I finally started playing SBCG4AP again since they already have four games out, and I still haven't beaten the second one yet...

Finally got around to finishing Call of Duty 4 just now. Also got a Devil May Cry 4 demo, which I played for about 1 minute before getting bored. Played the Eternal Sonata demo, which was very pretty and very repetitive. Currently downloading Echochrome to my PS3 since it's been discounted to $4.99. =D

I'll probably be playing Echochrome, SBCG4AP, and maybe the final level of Okami to tide me over until the new Prince of Persia comes out next week.

I Downloaded Bought Fallout 3 yesterday.

hoping it will be something good, being made by bethesda, im sure they have a large world to explore and lots of different items (like +80 weapons O:)

The beginning was intrigueing (played the introduction part in the vault), but the faces are a con, they look too cheap, just as in TES:Oblivion

but ill be playing it anyway's so meh.
