Just played a bit of Geist this afternoon. It's pretty good, considereding I got it for about $2. =p

I had been playing Pikmin 2, but it keeps giving me a disc read error. Stupid used games.

Stars, that's probably a sign that your Wii is going kaput. That started happening to me for every game, but not until after getting Brawl. After talking to Nintendo, i got the impression that Brawl was causing that to happen to lots of people. So don't be surprised if it gets worse.

Register your wii at nintendo.com to get the extended warranty, and then call them and they can service it completely free.

I'm pretty sure it's just Pikmin. None of my other games have had a problem (except Brawl itself for a brief time), and the Pikmin disc is scratched like it was put in a blender or something. <_<

I think I will still register for the extended warranty though, just to be sure...

I'm not playing it yet since I haven't got it at present, but starting tomorrow I shall be playing Soul Calibur IV on my new old PS3.
*hangs head in shame since he spent the last few years making fun of the PS3*

I suppose the only thing I've actually been playing today is Backgammon. I just finished a game with my dad in which I utterly defeated him. I know at least one other person here knows the rules, so I shall give an example. In one move near the end, I rolled double 6s, which let me simultaneously bring a piece out of jail, capture two of my dad's pieces, and bring my last piece into my home area; it was several turns before he managed to get both of his pieces out of jail, and he just barely managed to get a single piece off the board before I finished, otherwise it would have ended in a Gammon, doubling my score for that game from 4 to 8. :3

i spent ALL DAMN DAY playing through 126 days of Rampage World Tour on n64 and it was all WASTED! the ending was horrible, and not worth the mind numbing four hours it took to get to.

Now that summer classes are over, I've been spending the bulk of my free time on PS3 games, which I've mostly been pleased with so far. I've got a few games for it so far, plus one I rented as a matter of curiosity.

The game I've played the most so far is Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. I'd never played a R&C game before, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is most awesome.
Soul Calibur IV was one of the main reasons I wanted this thing in the first place, so I had to get that. I only just started played it last night, but it looks to be quite good as well. The lame Story mode is rather disappointing after Weapon Master mode in SCII, but the character customization and Darth Vader make up for it.
The last PS3 game I bought was Call of Duty 4, which looks to be just as good as I've heard, and I'm not usually all that into FPS games, especially on consoles. My only gripe is that I tried playing it with a friend last night, and we couldn't find any option to add AI bots to multiplayer matches, two-player matches being much less interesting than say an eight-player game might have been (yay for Medal of Honor: Rising Sun on Gamecube).
After going down a list of Editor's Choice games on IGN, I decided to rent Folklore and give it a whirl. It took a bit too long to get the actual game started (not as long as MGS4, mind you), but the story seemed interesting enough that I could overlook it; the comic book-styled cut scenes are particularly interesting. Once you get into the Netherworld parts of the game, it plays quite similar to Lost Kingdoms, only much better, as if this is what Lost Kingdoms was supposed to be.
Since they were so cheap, my brother and I also got a couple of PS2 games, though we haven't tried them out yet. I got Final Fantasy XII, just because I hadn't tried one more recent than IX yet, and my brother talked me into getting Tekken 5 to tide us over until Tekken 6 comes out.

On Sunday, we also rented I Am Legend on Blu-Ray to see how sharp it was compared to DVD movies. It looked nice, but hardly worth the price of Blu-Ray discs. However, since my plan when I move out of the house is to get an HD projector for my computer, movies, and video games (I don't watch TV anymore) which will cover the bulk of one of my walls, my brother pointed out that the difference would be much more noticeable on a ~100" screen. :3

I still am under the belief system that Final Fantasy X is better than XII...mainly because I can sit through X. >_>

Majority of my game playing has been when people come over. So the Taiko Drum and Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Wii Sports...I need to play Zack and Wiki better...I tend to just play Earthbound a lot.

Ahahaha I looked at Gothic 2 screenshots and it looks like a pretty terrible game. Why are you still playing it?

I'm taking a break from videogames, right now. For a day or two.
