I have a pretty good feeling about this lottery.

You will all be invited to live in my mansion.

If I were rich, I would buy all the combinations. Guaranteeing a profit.

EDIT: Also, taking the annual payments, you'd be getting over 20M a year.

I'm pretty sure the possible number of permutations numbers in the billions, so you'd actually be losing quite a bit of money if you did that!

Combinations is what you need, not permutations.

C(56,5) * 46 = 175,711,536.
Also for verification, it says on the Mega Millions How to Play page.

Statistics is probably my favorite type of math.

Yeah I wasn't thinking about it but the numbers all go in order, so the odds are significantly better than I thought they were at the time.

Because unlike Canada, our money is not a child's toy.

What are you talking about? Our government is incredibly childish and used as a toy quite often. That's actually a smart move by Canada. They turn a nice profit.

I would have been more impressed if the skeleton of Queen Elizabeth glowed in the dark, too. Then the coin would have double the science!

Yeah, some people don't respect their guns, either, but it doesn't make them toys.

(I don't own or recommend owning guns, just making a point)

So there's a tornado heading toward Wichita presently, so if you never hear from me again, that's probably why.

EDIT: It passed around us. Mostly.

$283 million estimated property damage last night, but no deaths that I've heard about. The tornado mostly passed through south wichita, and I'm in the north, thankfully. It smashed up our airport, the Air Force base, and two airplane manufacturers. Basically anything to do with planes. And a trailer park and a bunch of other stuff.

There were apparently a whole lot of tornados all over the midwest. One was about half a mile from my brother's house on Friday. And I heard about a hospital in Iowa that was badly damaged last night.

Glad to hear you are okay! I was following the tornado progess until I drunked out. Stay safe I know weather over here has been pretty crazy, so I'm sure it might be just as crazy over there.

Admittedy I was playing Pokemon and IM'ing while we watched the progress of the storm on tv.

A bunch of people did lose their homes though, so it's not like a big deal was made over nothing.

At work I was recently volunteered to assist our IT department because they're in a bit of a transition. Two senior employees just quit, and new people haven't even started yet. I don't have a real point to make, except that the experience was incredibly boring for me, which surprised me greatly since IT is a career path I've considered many times.

has anyone been to a Chile's lately? i went tonight for prob the first time in 3 years. i dont remember what it was like before, but it was the most sensory overloading i've had in a long time. the music was super loud, all the lights iver the table were different color than the lights on the walls that shone on all the "whacky" bullshit they had on the walls, the table had all these randomly placed mismatched tiles in them, and there was entirely too much crap on the table.

every table also had these ipad looking things on them where you could look at specials, pay your bill with a credit card, or play pop cap reject games for a dollar. i had no idea anything so disgustingly unneccessary could exist. you couldnt actually even order food from it, the whole thing was a last ditch effort to distract you, and get you to spend money. at least i was at a 4 person table, but the 2 person table was conpletely dominated by these things, in addition to all the other crap on the table.

I just installed a custom ROM running Ice Cream Sandwich to my Kindle Fire. It's got a few bugs, but it's quite nice. I got tired of hearing and seeing bad things involving the Amazon App store, so I decided to see what else I could do with the device rather than leaving it locked down.
