Don't think it matters since I was unlikely to go anyways, but I may end up having a pre-existing committment.

Annual race I run every year, in Maine, is on the 18th of June.

I already have to fly from Cali to Maine as it is, and back, which is a big expense.

Even if I had the money for two round trip flights, or a three way flight, I don't know if time would permit it, since I'd basically have to fly out the day after my race, and that means limited time with family.

Added in is the time I'd have to take off work (over a week, total), and it's just not feasible.

Hope everyone has fun though!

Money and time, money and time.

Although now that I have actual income, I can be more prepared for a 2017 meetup if there is one

Poo to Legacy not being able to go!

Posted in Slack last week but figured I'd post here that I booked my flights!

For anyone who's trying to coordinate getting in at the same time as people:

I'm arriving in Denver at 11:40 am on Monday the 20th, and leaving Denver at 11:50 am on Friday the 24th.

I booked my flight! :D

Also, I want to put together a schedule of when everyone intends to arrive and depart, and how they're getting to Colorado. That way, we can keep track of how everyone's getting here. This should hopefully make it easier to coordinate rides to and from the airport for those of us who are flying.

For this purpose, I've started a new page on the MP-Con spreadsheet entitled 'schedule'. It's no longer in view-only mode, either, so you can all add your information yourselves. While last I checked, there is still space in case any of our 'maybe' people want to turn into 'definitely's, I ask that you guys don't move names from the waiting list to the going list without speaking to myself, Monkey or Spaz. If you want to remove your name/SO/children from the going list, then I ask that you just post here to inform us of the change and edit it accordingly.

Also note, that I deleted the third page from the spreadsheet where we voted for location, since I don't think we'll need that anymore. The link for that location is on the main page.

I know those of you who are driving probably haven't planned out when you intend to arrive just yet. For now, just list that you're driving, and fill out estimated time of arrival and departure when you figure that out. Those of you who are flying, please fill out the form once you've bought your ticket. Same thing if you're taking the train in. Note that for the former, you probably want to buy your ticket fairly soon, if possible. Tickets are prices pretty well right now, but they may not stay that way.

When arranging departure times, keep in mind that we need to be out of the place by noon on Friday the 24th.

I'm driving, so I'll figure my arrival and departure times around when people need rides.

Xteven and I will also be driving, so we can facilitate pick ups/drop offs and will be able to pal around if anyone has a late flight.

Also, for those of you flying, it's a two hour drive from the cabin to the airport. Keep that in mind when booking your return flight, since you'll also want to get there about two hours before your flight.

I know this is still a while out of the way, but while the subject is being brought up.

PLEASE let me know if you can donate any money towards food and drinks or whatever. And let me know what you want (even if you aren't donating). I don't need the money now, but if you could let me know how much you could spare I can start figuring out how much I need to budget for that kind of stuff. Just PM me or DM me on Slack or something.

Thank you!

Hello people, I added another sheet to the thread. If you could just fill it out that would be awesome. Since like I said previously, I'm trying to budget how much money I need for when we go there. I'm assuming we'll mostly be eating at the cabin and not eating out or anything. The list is mainly stuff I can buy a lot of cheaply at Costco and should be easy to make/eat (so no one has to cook).

So I'm asking if you look at this sheet, just put initials on what you'd be willing to eat and what you won't eat, and add on to the list if you want something specific, but if you're one of the only ones who want it or it's expensive I might ask you to pay for most of it. Feel free to add things to the comments.

Thank you!

Can't edit on mobile, but you can put me down for will eat on everything. I'll probably have some cash to contribute, but I'm not sure how much yet.

I added ice cream and toppings to the list in case we want to have a sundae bar one evening or something. (Idea stolen from my visit to Michigan.)

I'm not sure yet how much I'll be able to donate. School kind of eats my money, so I won't have a good idea until the end of the semester, probably...

Also, just so there's no confusion, I signed as 'P' while I'm pretty sure Kamau is 'K' (I was going to sign K for Kaye, but alas).

You don't have to give me a million dollars or anything. Even just committing to $10 dollars is good enough, and if you can give more later then that's great.

EDIT: Also try editing again, I might have been dumb and broke it.

Done. I'm vegetarian, but not really picky aside from that. I also can just bring my own meat substitutes and meat substitute accessories if need be, so whatevskis.

I will probably either pitch in like twenty dollars or just bring some food with me.

Do you want people to donate money prior to the trip, via paypal? Or just later?

Cuz I can totally chip in $10, at the very least.

Bringing your own food would be good, if you want something specific.

Yeah, paying me before the trip would be good. Not right now though, like in June.
