You guys might be the only one reading. For some reason books haven't been doing it for me this year, which actually makes me kind of sad. I just haven't been pulled in at all for some reason.

I bet you would enjoy Ready Player One.

20000 Leagues Under the Sea. Fantastically fun read.

And now I'm sad because there are no underwater cities.

I'm reading, I'm just doing it slowly. And mostly being obsessed with Game of Thrones in my spare time.

Working my way through Apocolypse, the final book in the Fate of the Jedi series. After that, if I'm still in a Star Wars kick (which I anticipate being) then I have two books not from that series to dig into.

Finished Knife of Dreams last night. That leaves me with three more in the series, but since they were originally planned to be one book, I'm treating them as volumes 1-3 of the final book. So before I begin the last "book," I'm going to go back and read New Spring.

EDIT: Wow, it's a lot shorter than the rest of the books in the series. Not even 400 pages. It feels so tiny by comparison.

Lately I've been wanting to read comic books.
But I don't have any money to buy comic books. So I started reading watchmen again, which I already have. Still damn good.

I'll probably reread Scott Pilgrim next. Not quite a comic book, but i still probably won't have any money.

You really can't go wrong with Scott Pilgrim, however you want to classify it.

At least B&N carries comic books. You could just hang out and read them in-store.

If you start to feel a twinge of guilt (I've forgotten what that feels like) just buy some of the overpriced coffee, then tip the barista. I'm sure even Stars would be okay with you never buying the books if you at least did that.

Nah, I used to read books in stores from time to time. And B&N baristas are used to not getting tips.

I would buy so many comic books if they were the price of regular paperbacks...

Still working my way through Apocalypse, the final book of Fate of the Jedi. Appropriate for the day.

Work part time at Barnes & Noble. The discount is excellent. (I just do about two days a month now and still get it.)

Finished New Spring. I enjoyed it, but I'm glad it wasn't any longer.

Tomorrow I will begin The Gathering Storm. I read the foreword by Brandon Sanderson and was surprised to see that he specifically says it's legit to treat the last three books as volumes 1-3 of what was originally just going to be A Memory of Light.

EDIT: I've also been listening to The Hobbit on Audible from time to time. I started rereading the book a few years ago, but I never finished.

The Qur'an.

Seriously. I figure since it's the holy book of the second biggest religion on the planet, I might as well read it. Plus it'd help to know what it does and doesn't say for when I deal with the usual anti-Muslim crazies.
