Trivium and Devildriver tomorrow!

Every year it tries to drag me in.

 

Outkast, Arcade Fire, NMH, Wye Oak, Bonobo, Broken Bells, Beck, Mogwai, Neko Case, The Replacements? Ugh.

 

Not the best I've seen Coachella but it is enticing. 

Either way I'll probably try and catch Wye Oak playing a show in Northern California. It really surprises me how low they are billed, I thought they were at least a little bit more popular than that.

Does Sunday's performance at the symphony count as a concert? There's a guest violinist who sounds pretty awesome.

pet shop boys, muse, qotsa, and cage the elephant almost make putting up with skrillex fans tolerable.

Dream Theater is playing the chicago theater in april. i really want to go, but it's a seated venue, and i've never had the patience to listen to dream theater not on shuffle. if i can win radio tickets i'll go, but otherwise maybe.

Mayhem Fest. i stood in the middle of the room for wall of death during Lamb Of God, so I'm hoping i can find my way around the barriers to get in the pit during Cannibal Corpse. I really want to see Veil of Maya, THC, and Ill Nino too. I could care less about whatever Ice T is going to try to do to appeal to metal fans.

acquired tickets for rob zombie's great american nightmare haunted house and concert

the devil wears prada is opening for rob zombie next week. i don't know anything about them, but this cute girl i met at mayhem is coming from indiana to hang out with me in the city beforehand

got tickets for the new Gwar in milwaukee. i really hope they don't suck with their new singer 

edit: their halloween show got a good review. it sounds like they're moving towards more creature centric shows, the review stated they didn't kill any celebrities. i'll just be thankful if they last long enough to take my kids to #gwarstock

update: american sharks and corrision of confirmity were pretty terrible. all their songs sounded the same. we were stuck too far back to get sprayed, so no bloody shirts.

Not "going", but I went to the Pokemon Symphonic Evolutions concert last week!

 

And we were supposed to go to a Linkin Park concert a few days ago, but it got canceled the night before due to injury.

Probably seeing Cursive in February at a venue in Fresno.

For sure seeing Owen Pallet and Foxes in Fiction at the end of February in San Francisco.

Seeing The Decemberists, only once ;_;. In May in Berkeley.

At least you will see The Decemberists. Both shows near me sold out in -5 seconds.

 

However, I am seeing Neutral Milk Hotel, Steve Wilson, and The Mountain Goats this year.

Sad days. There's still tickets to Berkeley, just saying~

 

I really wanted to go to LA but the only good tickets (since it's mostly seated) were sold out in like a second.
