My goal is to go see one of my favorite country bands, Lonestar, when they play at a new bar in town next month. Hopefully it's the same band.

got my tickets for GWAR in Milwaukee in November. they always put on a great show, even if I can't hear for a few days afterwards.

Saw The Dirty Three last night, and they were quite good. I think I might be seeing Typhoon and Laura Gibson this month. And Menomena next month. Possibly Morrissey. But...that's a lot of shows.

Black Prairie was announced for the music festival I am going to.

Which is basically the closest I'll get to to seeing The Decemberists in a while.

Also you should definitely go see Laura Gibson.

I'm thinking of going to a Steve Reich concert early next year if I can afford it. But that's about it. I'm not sure why. I find myself having very little enthusiasm for music these days, which is sad and confusing.

I just went to an Ed Sheeran concert with my wife. I had never heard him before, and I couldn't hear him at the concert, what with the thousands of screaming 15 yr old girls there.

Wow, didn't know Ed Sheeran had made it in America - he's from near me. I think he's pretty terrible, but you're right, 15 year old girls can't seem to get enough.

He has one popular song here in America, "The A-team" and I think it's one of his worst songs. I actually liked the opening act better. Some guy named Passenger, but he still wasn't someone i'd go out of my way to listen to.
