So I think it's obvious that Peter is now in the future. By ten years! How the hell is this going to help save his universe? And I wasn't quite sure which universe he was in... I was all excited to see what would happen when Peter got into the machine, but now I'm more confused than before!
I so totally gasped when Sam and Olivia found the last piece of paper and she was on it.The telepathy thing was kinda 'eh'....

I know he's not in the red universe (Walternate's universe) since the twin towers weren't destroyed there. Someone on Fringepedia suggested that he might have created an new alternate universe, but I kinda doubt that. I think it's the blue universe (ours).

As for Olivia being the "crowbar," I totally called that the moment I saw the rolled up piece of paper. However, when Walter said she should practice on something smaller before trying to open the force field around the machine (which is apparently called the Wave Sink Device), and they didn't pull out the tests that David Robert Jones gave her in season 1, I was very upset.

I have no idea how Peter going into the future is supposed to save anything, but it did seem in the preview that the red universe gets destroyed sometime between now and 10 years from now. At least, it sounded like Walternate said, "You destroyed my world. Now I will destroy yours!" or something along those lines. Then again, he may just be refering to Walter crossing over and starting all the rifts and whatnot back in 1985.

Oh, and before I forget, I hope there's some significance to Peter losing his memory for a while and getting that silver half dollar. It didn't seem to have any purpose except to scare Walter when he disappeared from the hospital.

Almost forgot: I suspect that Sam Weiss may have some connection to the observers. After they figured out how to get Peter into the machine, he said something like he "wasn't supposed to intervene," which reminded me of things September (the observer we usually see) has said before (like "I'm not supposed to get involved.").

I also think that the observers might be the First People. Those manuscripts somehow depict Peter and Olivia interacting with the machine, and the observers are able to see all of time at once, so it makes sense that they would know about the significance of these two people.

And now that I'm thinking of the observers, I want to know what happened to that psychic bald kid from season 1 that looks like a mini September! Also the others like him that that one CIA guy indirectly mentioned ("I found another one.").

See I haven't watched all of Fridge in one go. At least I can't recall. So some of the things you mention there I have to go look up.

Yeah, it kinda helps that season 3 had already begun when I started watching season 1, and Thomas let me borrow both seasons on bluray (since he doesn't actually have a bluray player...). :p
And now I'm watching them all a second time with my dad. We're 8 epiodes into season 2.

Some of that was just me venting about things they mention once, maybe twice, and then we never see them again.

Yeah i think that's just them cutting out things/characters they didn't need. Part of writing a suppose.

I always thought that writers had a storyline all figured out then hashed out some small details before actually making any show. Clearly I was wrong.

Well, Thomas tells me they have about 7-9 seasons worth of story planned out. Maybe some of it will be brought up in the final season if they make it that far, like they apparently did with some stuff in Lost.

All I've seen of Lost is the next-to-last episode when my brother and sister-in-law were over and wanted to see it. Maybe some day I'll give it a shot when I have the time. =p

One of the things that confused me was that Walternate shot Olivia just a couple episodes after that whole "I think this is the man who's going to kill me" thing. We think maybe that guy was a younger Walternate, but it's hard to tell since he was a cartoon and didn't say much. XP

Oh, what did you think of the new black intro sequence? Some of the new fringe topics that pop up are...odd (for various reasons).

Oh come on every show that deals with Time paradoxes is bound to have a loop. I think it will better be explained by the Observers.

I keep forgetting to mention something I noticed when rewatched Wall-E on the plane back to Chicago. When EVE first lands on Earth and begins scanning things, her display lights go blue-blue-blue-red. My first thought when I saw that was, "OMG, Fringe has a recurring reference to Wall-E!"

I agree with the gas thing. I really want to know HOW THAT HAPPENED!

Also, I wonder what my 'other side' self would be doing right now. I wonder if I'd even have a family or just be alone and still living with my parents with no job, but still attending college...

Thomas suggested that the two universes should start trading their cheap gas for our not-dead produce.

Unrelated: I'd be tempted to root for Olivia and Lincoln to get together if I wasn't hoping for her to get back with Peter after they recover him. I like Lee (or "Nerdlee" as he is unofficially called in order to distinguish him from the other side's Lee :p). He amuses me.
