I did a version of this demonstration with my Taekwondo students last week after some boys were teasing a younger girl and I think they got the message. There are far fewer girls than boys in Taekwondo, but the girls that do stick with it end up being tougher, smarter, and better students.

I take issue with this. Telling a guy that he does something like a girl is insulting for the same reason that telling a girl that she acts like a man is insulting. IT'S AN ABDICATION OF YOUR F*$KING IDENTITY!!!! When you are a man, you want to be seen as a man. If you are a woman, you want to be seen as a woman. It was feminist sexism that brought this weird connotation to the phrase. And don't ever tell me that a girl can do something just as well as a man can or vice versa. The genders have biological tendencies towards being better at somethings while worse at others. Women are built to gain and wield power by social and emotional connections. That's why women's brains allot 400-500% more brain power towards communication, emotion recognition, etc. Men are built to gain and wield power through reasoning and brawn. That's why men typically find it easier to ignore the emotional aspects of many situations which can be very useful. That's why men almost always have much more muscle mass than women. That's why we're typically faster. I'm not saying girls can't fight or run or throw or what have you. It's just things like this are so worthless and they give people a false sense of reality. I'm so sick of this crap. Stop seeing things in collectivist terms! You see feminism tries to combat one form of collectivism with another form which can easily be argued to be just as sexist just as bigoted. The NAACP fights racial collectivism with more racial collectivism. As a culture, we've lost individualism and it's caused these issues. Sadly, so many berate individualism even though it's the only way to think that doesn't lead to sexism, racism, nationalism, and many many maaaany other isms which plague many today. I weep for humanity. Man, I love a good rant.

 

EDIT: I don't think it was clear. I wasn't saying that girls doing physical things is worthless. I was talking about the video.

Ah yes. Trangendered people. Well, that's more complicated. Typically their average natural physical ability will lie somewhere in the middle of the two genders due to hormonal differences. I don't know of any studies on the effect of hormone treatments on the brain in relation to things like emotion, communication, etc that will be applicable to this issue. I do know that testosterone in the womb actually shrinks the areas of the brain devoted to communication but I suspect that taking testosterone if you're a woman would have a negligible effect on your adult brain. However there are some people who choose not to take hormones and they will usually still be somewhere in the middle but towards the extremities simply because there are actually natural hormonal effects when you act more effeminate or masculine over long periods of time. I hope this answers your question. I think quite a few things about transgendered people, but your question was a bit vague.
