A historical book on pirates....which I forget the title of and am too lazy to look up. kind of slowly working my way through it as I wanna finish other stuff more....9.9

and I've heard people say it like 'tamater'...it's really weird sounding, and they usually say stuff like 'potatoe' 'patater' and so on and so forth, too... though I don't say it myself, it sounds really dumb to me :P

Sounds like a huge Southern accent.

I'm currently reading this book called The Eight...It's sooo boring in the beginning, but I took a peek at the middle and it looks like it gets better, so I'm holding out for as long as I can.

Hmm, nobody's posted here in a while.

I finished the two newest Myth books (Myth-told Tales and Class Dis-mythed) a few days ago, and I just now finished reading Ender's Game for the second time. I'll probably get my own copy of Ender's Shadow today or sometime soon and can read it again (the first time was a borrowed copy); that is, unless Negima volume 16 is out a day early like they sometimes are, then I'll read that first. :3

EDIT: No Negima yet. =(

Aside from finishing a ton of manga recently, I've been reading The Immortals series of Tamora Pierce's. I'm on book three, Emperor Mage.

I'm also reading Childhood's End for English.

Hmm, already finished with Ender's Shadow, and I still don't have my new Negima yet (ordered it from Amazon since I still can't find it at the bookstore!). =(

Not sure what to read next. I've got four Brian Herbert DUNE books that I haven't read yet, but I don't feel like going through them yet; they tend not to be as good as Frank Herbert's first three DUNE books. I think I've got one of Asimov's Foundation books I haven't read yet, plus one I started long ago but never finished, too.

Blarg! I want to read something, and I've got so many books, but none of them sound appealing right now.

I ended up starting DUNE: House Atreides after all. I guess if I like it enough, I'll end up reading House Harkonnen and House Corrino as well. I also kinda want to start reading the sequels to Ender's Shadow, so I may buy those sometime soon.

Michael Palin's New Europe, one of my new Christmas books. It's good stuff!

Probably going to go onto The Book of General Ignorance next, or maybe Conn Iggulden's The Gates of Rome.

Because I always associated this thread with manga as well... here is the list of books ive read in the past few months:

Hunter Hunter 1-17 (I reread it)
I''s 1-15 (same)
Ichigo 100% 1-2 (because ichigo sounds cooler than strawberry...)
666 Satan 1-7 (because again, the japanese name sounds much better)
Hitman Reborn 1-5 (i need to stop rereading things)
I caught up on Megatokyo (still kinda read so yeah...)
King of Thorn 1-2 (i bought it on impulse because i read an little piece from a magazine and the cover look FREAKING SWEAT)
Deathnote 7-12 (had to let a friend borrow them and reread them before i game em to her)
D. Gray-Man 7 (Up to chapter 142 online ^.^ i caught up with that also)
Jing King of Bandits Twilight Tales 3-7 (same as Deathnote)
College Student Retention (I will NEVER do my mom's "Homework" again)
Artemis Fowl: The Artic Incident (I found out a 6th book is coming out, a movie, and a graphic novel and wanted to reread one)

erm... i think thats about all ive read exactly in the past few months

Oooooh. What volume of Negima is this? (huge Death Note fanboy :D)

I have been rereading Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. I've been wanting to for ages, and ever since seeing The Golden Compass and being SEVERELY disappointed how much they managed to ruin one of the greater literary works of recent times, I decided to reread the trilogy to refresh my memory.

Volume 16, chapter 141. I can't get more specific than that since they don't seem to like showing page numbers. You might miss it since it's a really brief reference, and it's partially bleeped out for copyright purposes. =p

Hah, you too? Puffin and I spent the entire time while the credits were rolling criticizing the play. The trilogy is awesome, though...and I can't wait to see Inkheart.

I'm currently reading Tamora Pierce's Terrier. :3
