THANKS! This is exactly was i was looking for!
Is there any kind of contingency for running out of knives/bombs before you get the hammer? That slime at the end of the intro area is avoidable, but I almost ran out of knives while exploring and experimenting against the guards, and it doesn't seem like you can get past them without killing them. I suppose starting over doesn't cost much time at that point, but it's not ideal.
Not really. I figured if you ran out of knives you die and try again... While not really ideal for experimenting players, I think it adds to the tension of trying to escape prison with limited supplies. Any ideas on how to improve?, would a message suggesting the knives be used sparingly help?
While flying the airship, I was attacked by what I assume were some air pirates. When I defeated them and warped back to the flight map, I was attacked by the same pirates. Then I defeated them, the game froze for a moment (probably due to my laptop rather than the game itself), and it was enough for the same pirates to catch me and attack a third time. You might add some switches to remove enemy ships once they've been defeated.
I ran away after the third time, but they harried me all the way to the next objective and caught me before I could land. xp
Fixed, they don't respawn once they're defeated.
In that first town, there are several places to trade weapons, but I can't access my menu to check how many I have.
Unless I go into the forest.
I think my weapons all got maxed out, and I have no idea how or when that would have happened.
The trading feature is an artifact of the game's early build, it's useless now, it'll be worked out...
After you save the girl and get recaptured, the scene in the house plays the happy town music while murder and kidnapping are happening. xp
FIXED: Bug caused by changing the town's music before uploading...
I loved the portrait art for the villain, but then his name made me facepalm. Not a bug, of course, just something subjective. Also his backstory mentions both presidency and a royal council. These are not two things that I would think tend to go together.
I like chess so I named him Bishop ;)... and it's a fantasy world, politics doesn't have to make sense (just like the real world lol). The story is secondary to me, so I didn't care too much about plot holes or inconsistencies. I just wanted something to drive the player through the world.
>_< That wraith fight killed my eyes and can probably cause seizures.
lol
After the first cycle (which is too short to reach the key), this golem gets stuck against the path of the flame and blocks the key. (See picture)

And the path on the top left of the same map goes past the black border. I wasn't sure it was a continuation when I first found that.
Golems stop moving when they're touched, you may have touched him standing on the key... Doesn't really break anything since you can chickenize him, snag the key and escape. (maybe being hit on the way out)
The path at the top is supposed to be a "hidden" but easy to find...
I love the "chicken wand." =p And combining it with spell books for different effects is a neat idea.
Thanks! :)
When I first got to the armored boss guarding the fire spell book, I thought the fight was broken since he wasn't moving. He started going nuts after I whacked him a bunch, of course, but if it doesn't mess with your code for the fight, you might have him do...something...in between attacks. Even just very slowly walking in either direction.
The Boss AI is random, sometimes he waits to move at the start, I'll try to think of something to spice it up...
Do you eventually acquire some way to get past this flame?

The Ice Book is in the next dungeon.
I'm a little disappointed that the magic wand doesn't turn the pig pirates into chickens. Only the golems so far. I may have read the description too fast, but I thought it just said "turns enemies into chickens."
It does say chickens in the description, but initially i had all the enemies turning into random animals, so the pirates still have that feature. I guess I could change em back to chickens...
I do appreciate the random(?) weather effects that break up the visual monotony of the airship map.
Thanks, not random though, its where you are in the world map...
Ice...Demon?
Ice D.png
Yeah should be Demon, another unfinished NPC. (Thanks for pointing it out though, these type of errors are tedious to find and fix)
I'll play some more later and report my findings.
Please do! I'm a little busy with work and school so I have limited time to work on the game, but many of these things are pretty quick fixes. Thanks for your help!
