OH! The evil terminator from the third terminator movie! That's certainly one of the best bots.
We've made too many compromises already, too many retreats. They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far and no further!

Though the T-800 and the T-1000 should definitely be part of the list

If Zoids count, the Evas seem obligatory.

The female terminator?

For sure. How bad ass are arms that can turn into any weapon at will and a body that is basically indestructible.

So, I'm guessing that streets is just trolling us with all his contradictions.
Oh, is streets actually an AI that is now failing the Turing Test? Did I get it right?
How about adding The Squids from The Matrix? Ultimate badassery killing and ability to plug humans into a computer!

Contradictions? Which squids are we talking about? The big ones or the really big ones?

Thanks for all of your input. You guys brought forth a lot of good suggestions and made me remember quite a few myself. If I missed putting something on the list let me know. It either happened because I couldn't tell what robot was being suggested or I didn't think it belonged on the list.
And would you look at that, there are currently 64 robots! Which would be perfect for a bracket...if I didn't know that you guys would suggest more entrants.
Not "conspiracies". Conspiracy. Singular.

Do the Borg count as robots?
Because if so they should totally be there. Although they are kind of odd (hive mind and all that).

Yes, they do. However, the Borg should be considered as a single unit sans the "Queen." That whole idea is bollocks and moronic. The Borg used to be interesting, but then they had to throw in a Queen and 7 of 9.
