Honestly, I like the Heat more than any other East team left in the playoffs. Screw the Wizards, screw the Pacers and Hawks. Screw the Nets and Raptors.

I'm silently rooting for the Heat to make the finals, just because screw everyone else.

The NBA Playoffs have been intense so far.

I haven't posted much in here about it because I've been busy.

But oh my god, the fact I'm actually cheering for the Heat should tell you something.

I want Heat-Thunder.

That's the only combination left where I can root against the Heat.

Clippers sold for ~2billion.  i always thought they were a terrible team, but they had the best record in their division. what happened to the lakers this season? i thought they were the A team in california.

They were terrible. Then they brought in Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, two of the best players in the NBA today. Then they stopped sucking.

As for the Lakers...

Well, Kobe is getting old. And outside of Kobe, they have... nothing. Soooo yeah.

As for the sale, it's not official yet. But I have hope.

Sorry to ruin the Basketball vibe, but am I the only one rooting for the L.A. Kings? Sure, they beat my favorite team the Blackhawks in overtime, but they have Jonathan QUICK for crying out loud!

I don't like hockey at all. So I'm rooting for the Kings so the playoffs and hockey season end as soon as possible.

So lots of people here were excited that the KC Royals were on a 10 game winning streak and had a game this afternoon. I got excited and engaged in today's game for precisely the last inning, only to see them lose.

And now, back to pretending I care about soccer.

You pretend to care about soccer? Why do that to yourself?

Soccer is sooo boring.

But I'm getting sucked into the World Cup thanks to the US beating Ghana.

Netherlands all the way! They've already gotten their revenge against Spain which was oh so sweet. As cool as it would be to see the US keep going, I know it won't. At least we'll do better than England though. I swear the World Cup is like a wet dream for historical relations between countries.

Actually, all the US has to do is beat Portugal... or tie both of Portugal and Germany, and hope that Ghana loses to Portugal.

We have an extremely good chance right now to get out of our group, which is pretty exciting, considering "Group of Death"

Revenge? That finals game made me sad that I was rooting for the Netherlands. =/

Yeah, there's a good chance they'll get out of the group. But beyond that I'm not expecting anything. The best that we have ever done was 8th back in 2002. No I will not count getting 3rd back in 1930 when only 13 teams competed. I feel the US suffers the same problem that England does: a lot of its best players play for other countries. Drawing from a global talent pool is great during regular play with league teams, until you have to play against the world using your own nationality.

Well, we will either be facing Belgium (winner of the group?) or Russia/Algeria (whoever finishes 2nd in the group) depending on how our games with Portugal and Germany go. I think we have a realistic shot of beating any of those teams, and honestly feel like we have a legitimate chance to finish in the top 8 (though I can't see us slipping by anyone from Group F/E that we'd come across... namely Argentina, Nigeria, or France. I mean, we might have a "chance" against Ecuador/Switzerland, but the odds of them getting by either of Argentina and Nigeria are low to begin with)

top of the 2nd inning, and the cubs are already down 0-3 in cincinatti. that means the reds scored 3 runs in the first in ing and the game's already over.

I don't post in here often (I do not wish to bore you all with inane banter about goings ons that aren't big news)

But I need to voice my displeasure with the fact that one of my favorite players was hit in the face by a Michael Fiers fastball. In the face. Hit in the face. Stanton was. By Fiers.

I'm so fucking angry. Irrationally so.

This is not cool.
