Freaks & Geeks was amazing, though I believe it went downhill once they realized they weren't going to be renewed. The pace and everything got noticeably more rushed/less reasonable, probably because they wanted to be sure to wrap everything up rather than leaving things for another season that would never exist (which I am eternally grateful for, because I hate when things are left unresolved. I'm looking at you, Go On!!)

 

I'm one episode closer to being caught up on King of the Nerds (which I should really get done because my sister tells me we're at Final 4, meaning the show's over very soon) and my folks and I are watching The Voice now. :)

I'm gearing up to watch "Cosmos" tonight. I'm super excited because there really isn't a reason not to be. The President is introducing tonight's episode, it's a rebirth of Carl Sagan's vision, and rumor has it Patrick Stewart will narrate a future episode.

Anyone else going to see it? I'm sure I'm not the only one here who's stoked for SCIENCE!

i watched Cosmos! the first episode was a wank, so don't worry about missing it. it was a retelling of the first episode of the Sagan series, and Sagan was a way better actor.this episode had really good graphics, but the cartoony parts went on a little too long. the cosmic calender was in it, and ot was a bit long too.

It's pretty old by now, but I still very much enjoy the thing. There are five shorts that are all set to music and have no spoken dialogue but still tell a swell tale. And they're not very long, so you could watch the whole thing in I believe 24 minutes.

Like I believe I've mentioned the one where ice king all's Marcelene to help him write a song is my favorite so far.

Not quite like that. The characters aren't singing the song. It's just animation set to music, with the story told visually.
